I agree with @Lupus though, event viewer is definitely your friend for most troubleshooting you might have to do if something goes wrong (touch wood)

Odd, events don't log any error.

The error is caught by the EA app.

Looking at the log of the EA app,

Something along the lines of

LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] [Line: 3365] Pak Decompression failed. PakFile: ../../../SwGame/Content/Paks/pakchunk11-WindowsNoEditor.pak.

A quick Google search shows that it's unable to unpack that file for some reason and the game engine crashes because it's unexpected

So, i have not even been able to play this game because of instant crashes. The game crashes when i go to options and the game crashes when i try to start a campaign. I tried installing the newest drivers, didn't work. I tried to backtrack to older drivers that were released nov 4th, didn't...

If it's a steam or EA play game, you should be able to verify the integrity of the files. Depending on which version was installed of course. If it's a pirate game, best to uninstall and reinstall after verifying integrity of the downloaded files.

All signs point to file corruption though, so if you can sort that out you should be golden

Just an update not getting any joy with IC.
I called the store yesterday and they said to call the number on the sms they sent me.

Called the number and they told me to call the store. Tried calling the store throughout the day to just be put on hold.

Will go to the store tomorrow and see what the outcome is.

Damn dude that sounds like some BS.
How long has it been with IC now? They are just giving you the runaround at this point and chances are the store will say the repairs department isn't open on a Sunday so they can't provide an update.

Any chance you could go during the week? So they can contact whomever it is they want you to contact, so that both hands know what the other is doing and give you a proper answer instead of "this one said, that one said"

I think it could have been priced a bit more competitively, looking at the loss of performance from the Z1 Extreme.
$100 is roughly 2k give or take. I wont try and wrap my brain around import duties on that scale, so let's just say Z1 will be R14 000 and Z1E R16 000 currently. We've seen IC sell Z1E for 15k recently. I don't know about the rest of the folk but spending that kinda money and not considering that little extra for a significant performance boost would be crazy to me, because why wouldn't you want more bang for your buck lol

That's the takeback on the $100 even, why not just spend that on the Z1E instead

If I remember correctly, the IC stores are franchises and therefore take individual responsibility for any returns - it's why they are so full of kuk when you return something - I hate dealing with them and will only buy from them as an absolute last resort or if it's a consumable item.
