Asus Rog Ally

Doesn't that affect only 10sec and 10min boost?

The constant power tops at 30W.
Or are you using that utility that ETA Prime posted about?
Hmm I did try it the custom, but the power readings were a little bit higher. Never tried it again

I get full Turbo when plugging my Ally directly into the 100W Delta 2 port or when using the stock charger directly.

Maybe message ASUS and ask them what their problem is. I sent a complaint to ASUS EMEA and they responded with a canned response, "your charger is garbage, use our state-of-the art chargers and docks", which is crazy.
I hear what you saying, and I might just do that for the greater good. I'm okay with how the setup is going now but always useful having a cheaper alternative

While I wait for my Amazon goodies to arrive. I'm looking for a budget USB-C hub with charging capabilities and an Ethernet port.

Any ideas?

That seems to low priced not sure it'll power the Ally

Might work. 87w PD charger. AFAIK it just needs 65W or something.
I can sell you my Ugreen for like R400 if you like @jarrodr  Still trying to figure out what I'm going to use it for

Okay so turns out my laptops 65w charger does keep it up and running, but it won't go into 30w

Yeah I think for the dock we need more then 65w

I'm now reading some people claim that the 25W with a good charger (> 100W) is a visual glitch. I don't buy that.

I'm wondering if it could be, I'll do some tests with the laptop tomorrow as the Ally one also only showed 25 till I did an update

Well my Forza 4 now won't load. I was able to play it, even in Ultra settings and then upon restart it hangs and crashes. The thing is that the Benchmark demo works fine. I tried rebooting, setting it in admin mode, running at lower Wattage, etc. Gonna reinstall the game. The Ally is buggy af.

Yours seems to be :( still have the SD card in?

Mine fell off my bedside table this morning, heart attack of note, seems okay just got a black scuff mark which I'm not even sure from what. Used some isopropyl and it's fine again

Ugreen works plugged into my oled though the gfx don't look as goodIMG_20230715_122244.jpgIMG_20230715_122238.jpgScreenshot_20230715_122346_com.coolkit.jpg

I'm running it off the SSD.

This problem may not even be Ally's fault. There is a discussion on Steam about this with some people claiming enabling BT and others disabling or enabling ethernet fixed the problem. Mine crashes right at the end, the screen goes black and the little turning indicator stops, just before the car and driver are meant to appear.
I also purchased Forza 5 standard ed during the sale and will install it once I get that SSD in but if that happens again, LOL, then again it's Microsoft.

These devices should be reasonably resilient, for minor falls.

Enabling and disabling ethernet? I've enabled bluetooth to use my Xbox controller on it and yeah it seems to prefer the one on the device.
But yeah blowing it up to 65" was weird and at least it let's me know the dock works.
It did survive doesn't seem to be any damage.
I played on my actual desktop today when there was sun, crysis runs at 81fps with everything at max, but for some reason I felt a bit seasick

Some games give me motion sickness too but only intermittently. Playing in a better lit room may help, so your body is aware that it's a video game. Your visual input is telling you, I'm moving or spinning but your inner ear tells you I'm sitting still, call it your accelerometer or gyro position device. At least you don't crash like our POS devices.
