Asus Rog Ally

I have the Sabrent and keeping the original in an enclosure as backup. Remember after 1 year recovery will be switched off for ROG ALLY users.
Not working for me now :(

Thats why I have a Macrium backup of the OOBE image as well as "after everything is installed" image, so If i ever have to restore I can use either of those two

I never used recovery.

I just used a windows 10 oem key for cheap and using windows 11 pro. Works just as good. Installed all the drivers from the asus website.

Looking at this list, I don't think you are missing much by doing the clean install, except the cool wallpaper lol

Oh, if you check Device Manager, are all the drivers there?

Don't have that issue but I've got a manual mode with a higher fan curve, which keeps it at 80 instead of the 90 the standard would hit
I've maxed out my fan curves on mine too and the crashes occur only 30sec - 1 minute into the game, on relatively non busy graphic scenes. DOA 6 is a PS4 game.

Yeah. The only difference is having to install stuff like steam, myasus etc but in terms of drivers etc everything is available here.

That is really strange

Actually not a bad idea. I've got my key I used to upgrade

I ask because i tried that myself to see if it made any difference.
There was one unknown device listed, but extracting the latest nvidia graphics driver(exe) for desktop cards, i updated the unknown driver from the extracted folder and it installed some nvidia something or another.

Since then I've made close to 100 changes so i went back to OOBE

Argh the second one had an annoying issue where it doesn't switch to a stronger AP in the house, it wants to remain on the furtherst one.
