Attention all Linux gods

Depends how valuable are files. Take HDD out for the start and decide will you give it to data recovery specialist or do it yourself. If you are going to do it by yourself would you do it from Windows or Linux? I would say stick with Windows for that operation - those are Windows files. Start reading and preparing. Wish you luck.

The files are like family pictures and stuff, and stuff cause it's not my hard drive so I'm not 100% sure what was on it, it's busy scanning at the moment with TestDisk in linux, if that doesn't work I'll prob try NTFSdataRecovery in windows. It's gonna be a long day

Testdisk usually works quite nicely, so I don't think you'll have to worry.
