Audi S3 - Thoughts

Thoughts: Good looking, rapid and fun to drive. Don't buy a Sportback; it is noticeably slower than the 2-door <-- have owned both.
Price: Pay no more than R350k for a 2009 model. Trade values are very bad so you'll have to keep it a while to break even.

Sportback noticably slower you say? That's weird, why would that be? I know it is slightly longer, by 55mm if i am not mistaken.

My next car will be S3 or 135i ... but I'd sway towards the 135i ... so curious as to your thoughts

Actually my problem with both of them is the 7 year old shape and outdated tech, otherwise I would have an RS3 on order.

Sportsback tends to look a lot like a station wagon. I think for the kind of money you have to fork out on an S3 you can get much better looking cars (with performance to match).

Go for it i recently got my sports car insurance is a bit steep but i am enjoying the car, will turn 25 next year will try for better insurance rates!
