Audi(VW) 2.0T 155kW Engine

...says the dude who raves over a Corsa. Such a troll.
I have seen many Audis that look the same - I have yet to see another Corsa that looks like mine.

Don't get me wrong, the 2.0 multitronic is a great car, you cannot just focus on the engine because that gearbox is something else. I wound definitely call the RS4 common with no soul because it still has the ability to scare the bejesus out of me (luckily I can only be passenger).

But most VAGs are boring.

I think Roux has actually moderated his opinion on VAG a little bit, to his credit.

its true, get in a GTI, a3 etc, all very plain driving. Yet the ST which doesnt have that much more power to me is an exciting drive! it like growls at you, and lets you know if you don't handle it properly it will throw you into a wall.

Its nice if you just drive like an old person, but for enjoyment, sorely lacking.

Been friends (since 1993) with a guy whose dad collects old cars, most of them Auto Union models, quite a few two stroke DKWs in the collection as well. One of their more interesting new additions is a Unimog.

Apart from the old cars he has had two Audi A8s (4.2) which he later switched for a '09 RS4 and various other Audis (like the 2.0 Multitronic) on the side. When I went there to show them my new Corsa he told me to take the 2.0 for a drive since I have never driven a CVT box car. I have been passenger in many of the other Audi's (like the RS4) and luckily these are folks who know how to drive. This was also where I got a lot of respect for the 1.4 TSI cause they have a Tiguan with that engine.

So I will never talk trash about the power, refinement and sometimes exhilaration these cars can give - but damn - they are just oh so common ;)

The Mazda 2.3 Disi Turbo direct injection 191kW Engine...
This engine is beautiful. I cannot begin to describe how much I love it.

There we go... fixed it for you!

Or The Mazda Renesis 1.3L 171kW naturaly aspirated engine is beautiful.

There we go... fixed it for you AGAIN!

Remember the Audi 2.0T 155kW also has 350Nm torque. Very few, if any, 2.0T can match that. Its the same amount of torque that BMW gets out of the 320d.

Together with the Multitronic gearbox its a joy to drive

The sport mode is a killer. I guess I just didn't expect the engine to be as nippy as it is.

I saw a new shape corsa today, next to a Hyundai i20. You can't hardly tell the difference between the two.

They are quite identical yes - and I think you will get a great ride from both, especially the 1.6 i20 that can be had for the same money as the 1.4 Corsa.
But still, there are far less of them on the roads than there are Polis or Yaros or even A4's.

That's the sweet sound of a Volvo 5 cylinder engine in the ST

Hyundai's engines seem to be bullet proof these days. I take it over a polo, yaris anyday of the week

I'm with you on that one. Their 1.4 engine is just as powerful as the 1.4 twinport in the Corsa but it has more torque. So if you have to chose in terms of bang for your buck between a Polo, Corsa or i20 you'd be stupid not to take the i20. I really love their 1.2 Kappa engine that is currently in the i10 - it begs to be driven.

Yes beautiful how it goes from nothing to all 191kw by you tapping on the accelerator...

Yesterday I was at a robot with where an i10 blitzed a 2001 Merc E Class once the green light came on:wtf:
