Automatic organ donation

I don't object, in principle, to the principle of donating organs to people who need them. In Utopia(TM), I would say yes.

We don't live in Utopia(TM). We live in SOuth Africa with an inept health department, a criminally corrupt government and no administrative capabilities whatsoever.

If they can't even get your *gender* right in your ID book, how the hell are they going to get your organ-donating preferences correct?
 
If you THINK about it, when dead, the body just "rots" away...So standing up with NO flesh???...Naa...I think there is more to that than meets the eye ( That'll be a completely new subject i think, so well leave it there? )...Donoring your organs??..Personally i think its a good thing...geniune
 
the OP is about britian,i doubt we'l have something like that here due to the high % of HIV infections
 
imagine u get your life saved by getting an organ and think u have a new lease on life only to find out u have the HIV,id be devastasted..

I'm sure they can screen for it, the same problem would apply if people consented to organ donation as they do now.
