I used to like browsing Autotrader.co.za, but it seems their site does not perform properly when viewed from a Linux machine. It gives a warning on the landing page that says "Site requirements not met click here for more info." This links to the standard speech about using the latest browser of any kind, Chrome 38, Firefox 35, etc.
The main problem I experience is that I can fill in a number of criteria in the search function, but then cannot change them. When I put in new criteria the search function merely adds them to the old ones and I end up with conflicting criteria that then provides a zero result.
I am using the latest Ubuntu (18.04) with a KDE desktop.
Any thoughts? Am I doing something wrong, or should I just give up on them?

I just tested on Ubuntu 14.04 (Unity Desktop) on chromium browser and I get the warning, but the search function works fine.

On front page I went BMW - 5 Series: Search.
Then on search results I removed 5 series and added 3 series and it updated fine.
Then hit reset search at the bottom and it cleared out.
Went back to the front page and search is cleared.

Should the above have replicated your issue?

I tested again now on FF and Chrome. The reset does not remove the criteria completely.
I go to autotrader.co.za/search
I enter "BMW 3" in the search box in the left menu
It converts it into two strings "BMW" and "3"
When I click "Reset search" it removes the "BMW" but retains the "3"
The url changes to https://www.autotrader.co.za/keywords/3/search

I installed Chromium again. Works fine! Could it be add-ons that is screwing with me?

Not sure.
I tested the search box in firefox and reset works fine for me.
Could be the add ons or something specific with 18.04.

I used to have some issues with that site on Firefox, it never loaded any of the categories I selected (it required a refresh to do so) and it had some warnings about the browser being outdated, which it wasn't. I've been using a lot more Chromium since I started using Budgie and that seems to work well with it. I still use Firefox but haven't for that site in months. So I don't know why your Chromium didn't work, but I'm more inclined to blame the site and not any particular browser.

Tried with Neon OS (Ubuntu 16.04 with KDE)/Firefox 61.0.1 - get same, "Site requirements not met click here for more info" warning but all else works just fine.
