Why is everybody trashing AvP in reviews? Got my copy on Friday and couldn't really put it down, it really aint as bad as the reviews people say, its really fun! Maybe a bit on the short side in single player.

Only thing that suck so far is the lack of local servers for multiplayer, tried a bit playing on overseas player hosted matches, but with latacy around 300ms, its a struggle... what I could figure out is that playing MP with Alien is sooo awesome :P Specially sneaking up to someone and pullling a finishing move :D
 
I've heard it's really buggy and there are alot of issues with the game.
I'm not buying it (I won't get copies or whatever either) till they fix all the main bugs.
It's what happens when you rush a game!
 
Wierd, I haven't noticed any major bugs that takes anything away from the game, but must add when I installed the game there was a patch already waiting. PC version is running fine for me.
 
Hey guys,

I also bought it last week and I have to say it's not all that bad! Only thing that bothers me is the few bugs that's spoiling it at them moment like the stuttering.

But there's a patch coming out on Monday which will hopefully fix most of the bugs.
 
Ordered mine on friday, was wondering if this has dedicated server support? If so do you think one of the isps will put one up for us? Would love to try some AVP multiplayer
 
bioshock 2 is boring to me and i am really enjoying avp ... Also surprised at the low review scores ... I think mmaybe the developers did not pay the reviewers enough to get a good score :)

Lol yeah. But I must say this one particular bug in the game is frustrating me. I don't really want to play it until it's fixed.
 
Will admit that I haven't seen anything on this one. What's the gist of the game?
 
Ok so I got the new AVP... so who who can I add on my steam for a game or two?

I haven't been playing much but looking at the levels that one can unlock per race... well... lets just say it seems a bit short lived.

Im hoping it wont be the same as far as multiplayer goes ... getting a bit tired of IW.nets carp with MW2.

Just keep in mind though man, I'm still waiting for the patch that will hopefully fix the bad stuttering issue (coming out today) and BC 2 coming out
on friday doesn't help the cause much.

But add me anyway and we can check the MP out a bit :)
 
I'm a bit of a fanboi so I hope they sort out the issues soon :D and that is also the reason i will HOPEFULLY be playing this and bc2 cutting out the frustration I have been having with MW2.

I joined the avpsa steam group also but it seems it has died a bit :/

All the talk about the game being buggy kind of put me off, but seeing as they're responding with a patch so quickly I'll go grab it tomorrow. ;)
 
Being a massive fanboy, should I buy this? All I want is more of AvP 2, nothing revolutionary. I really do wonder why the reviews are so praised and also so bashed...
 
I always go to gametrailers.com so I can see for myself if they reference any bugs... They didnt mention anything about bugs in the full video review :)

Gonna get myself a copy...
