The Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging (AWB) has retracted its statement that it was going to avenge the killing of its leader, Eugene Terrre'Blanche.

So this retraction thread is eerily quiet because it doesn't reinforce the prevailing prophecy is an imminent right wing revolt. I guess the forum would like to see a bit of right wing action too. Figures (of this forum):)

If they aren't going to do something I will be highly disappointed.

The thing is that too many people are being killed here each day, white and black. Maybe an AWB revolution is what we need to get the government to actually do something about the crime...and Malema.

No. Voting needs to happen... not violence. The word "revolution" must be removed from our vocabulary. Why such a thirst for fighting? How can you possibly think that is a solution to anything?

South African civil rights group AfriForum condemned the killing and also called for calm in a statement on its Web site.

"These events are a call to all South Africans to come to their senses and to be aware of the extremely polarized and violent circumstances presently prevalent in the country," the statement said.

The group also said that "all communities -- white, as well as black -- should refrain from reckless statements and from romanticizing violence."

But will the men who murdered ET experience the law in any way? I highly doubt it...

I would just like to see the end of violence and equality for all, whites included. I am only 22 years old, I had nothing to do with apartheid, why must I carry my father's sins?

The way this turns out all depends on the ANC. If they continue calling for genocide then it validates the views of rightwingers, but if the ANC stops its racist rhetoric then things will likely be fine.
