Fiery fast bowler Andre Nel, axed from the Proteas Test squad to tour India later this month because of transformation requirements, is set to quit South African cricket.

The radical decision could come in the next 48 hours as Nel comes to terms with being left out of the 14-man squad to take on India, with seam bowler Charl Langeveldt taking the spot.

South Africa's transformation agreement, signed by selectors and senior officials, states there must be six players of colour in a squad of 14 and seven in a group of 15.

Was bound to happen, never liked Nel much, but from a cricket point of view, its really sad news.

I think he knew it was going to happen, hence his new found skills with the bat.... but that should count right?

Hmmm... I love the smell of blatant racism in the morning!

As much as I like his fighting spirit, a quick squiz on Cricinfo will tell you Nella's been getting his wickets at 40 for the last 2 years. He's a bang in bowler who's going to be shellacked if the ball isn't doing anything off the pitch.

If you forget the 'targets' that's reason enough not to take him to India. If he can't handle being dropped, despite his poor recent form, then maybe we can finally chalk down his frequent outbursts to a badly controlled temper rather than 'passion.'

soccer is untouched, as far as i know.

And thats why its the greatest sport on the planet. LOL!

(okay before someone shoots me down, yes okay their is racism in European soccer too)

I remember in the cricket world cup when people boo'd kevin petersen when he came out to bat for england.
I personally thought he was such a chop for leaving sa to go play in england.
Now... look how this is going, all our players are leaving to play elsewhere because of this stupid colour thing.
If a player is good, he plays, enough said.
not, if a play is this colour, he can play because of there is too much colour!

PATHETIC

Let's not kid ourselves, we all know where all this is going.
The government is destroying everything the white man established in this country, and will eventually try to destroy the white man as well.

Eventually? LOL

Maybe thats why Nel was not able to collect the man of the match award?
Anyway I say let all the players go, all white players should leave for greener grass. Let these racist snobs carry on their own way then they can blame those that left for their poor performances, at least we would be able to proud ourselves in their performances, as I enjoy Peterson's, and feel proud about it.

It might occur that some of those players that leave might never make a team overseas because they are not good enough there either.

So you say they are not good enough now? I find it strange looking at the rating of the "Springbok" team. Maybe you are referring to domestic players, I am referring to our "Springboks" or should that be EX-"Springboks". (do not refer to Proteas please!)

All this seriousness...

I say throw Nel in there and watch India beat a 12 man SA side!!!:D:D:D

THEY HAVE A 60% CHANCE ANYWAY, With or without NEL. The pitch/spinners will make sure of that.
