Axpert invertors

Yes I am running over USB. I can map the USB deviceid in Linux to a "known device", but communications to the inverter seems to get lost somewhere. Even using picocom doesn't work well:

Judging by that I think it's the Axpert command + which I'm stuck with, and the google search results I found doesn't help too much.

Thanx for the offer, what do I owe you?
owe me nothing
maybe start a new axpert programing topic and link it here

not the cleanest code / spelling
look at form1.cs functions
executecommand
getmessagebytes
calculatecrc
and datareceavehandler
most of this come from googling and sample code

can you send data to device and receive back
even if it a error?

Are you developing one for Linux? We develop one that is runnig on the Raspberry pi for all Axpert single and multiple, Infini 3, 5 and 10kw.

Homebrew axpert software

Made this to upload to pvoutput
Sending logs to a local database , remote web service and pvoutput
Tried to use solarmon but it did not save data , their payment gateway down too

In mean time made a battery monitor from a Arduino and a ads1115 16 bit a/d , end goal is to duplicate the victron battery monitor

Nice work !

Need some help please. I upgraded the watchpower software from 1.05 to 1.09 and in so doing, lost the previous settings.

I have panels and batteries that should run the household and rarely have to top up the batteries from the utility. At night, it should effectively run from the batteries and during the day charge batteries and run the house.

It is now running off utility at night instead of the battery and also the solar PV input is 0...which if I remember correctly in the previous version recorded values.

Advice would be appreciated.

Solarpower is basic software. Very good for changing settings. Aicc is something you need to manage and record your totals. There is also auto swich on time and on soc. Have a look at it

solarpower charting / logging did not want to work for me . and thier payment gateway down . other software does not support usb axperts . I had to write my own app to log the data i needed

AICC for Raspberry Pi supports USB. It uses the BMV-70x to switch modes if you want to or have it switch on time. It sends your data to PVOutput and to EmonCMS. It has a MQTT feed that will interface with OpenHAB for home automation.

Check for galvanic isolation. If it is isolated then you can't receive a shock from ground to live and so an earth leakage would be unnecessary. If there is a neutral running back to the Eskom transformer then be carefull because it is connected to earth.

I think your + or anode cable may be corroded of damaged and so your PV input is less the minimum 60v.

Hope someone can help me. I bought a Victron battery monitor BMV702. The monitor ask me to program my batteries AH. What must this setting be?
I have 16 x 12v 100ah batteries. I have a 48v Axpert 5kva inverter. So I have 4 stings that consist of 4 batteries per sting.
Hope this makes sense.

Must the setting be 400ah or 1600ah?

Interesting...seems like it could be a good investment from what I've gathered so far. Didn't read every single page of course
