Can someone direct me to the fine-print on the Axxess web site where it states if you use 2 concurrent connections on their home uncapped 2mb account the speed will be halved (1mbs/1mbs)?

I still can't seem to find any info on it, the operator was adamant it's right there on the site when you order. Perhaps I was just too ignorant to see it, I didn't expect miracles but I feel somewhat duped into believing I will sync at the full 2mb/s per connection. A tad too optimistic and demanding?

I still don't see it, although on the WebAfrica knowledge base they clearly state the conditions of their similarly priced option.

My mistake.

Another thing, they didn't prorate the cost of the connection with 2 weeks left in this month. I was billed the full amount while WebAfrica's system clearly deducts the difference which I thought was the norm.

Standard practice.

How much and what service are you paying for?

If it's a 2Mbps service how can you expect 4Mbps (effectively)?

Like I said, I didn't expect it. But it was interesting to see the throttling/shaping on the connection brand new right out of the box. Could hardly hit a 512kbps rated speed using only one of the allowed connections.

I found their Acceptable Use Policy buried deep on their Terms and Conditions page with further mention of concurrent connection use 3/4 down. Not very user friendly is it.

Concurrent connections (excluding justSurf / yourSurf / Axxess Uncapped 5Mbps, 6Mbps, 8Mbps and 10Mbps)
Concurrent connection means the same username can be used on 2 routers, however the speed will be halved. i.e 1024k will now become two 512k services.

Have a nice day.

My axxess 2Mb uncapped ran at 3-4Mbs all weekend but is throttled down to 2Mbs during the week - don't know if this was an anomaly or will continue going forward.
