Axxess Business Uncapped (4meg) - normal?

Right, 3rd day on Afrihost Business Uncapped... Wondering why I didn't change over sooner.

Everything is blazing fast, support is good and being unshaped is frikken awesome.

Hi there,

I am looking to get an ADSL line at home...I am just wondering if Axxess includes the telephony line rental in their costs...I see they do include the ADSL line rental...probably not?

Nope, only adsl rental :) you'll still need to pay R150ish per month for the Telekom line

I will definitely consider it. Don't suppose they offer trials though?

I went with Axxess because it was just easier for me as I already have an account with them. Figured the experience would be the same since Axxess and Afrihost are "technically" speaking the same company.

Do you also have an afri business bundle? If so, what is your experience with it? Or rather, how do you (ab)use it? Torrents/NZB/Steam/Origin etc.....
Axxess business accounts are shaped for torrents etc afaik. They say the prioritise business protocols and shape everything else last I checked.
Im so glad my accounts expire at the end of this month, never experienced a worse ISP experience and i have been with all of them.

Nope, I don't think any ISP can offer the base service - only DSL line, either as a standalone or as a bundle.

I really have been quite happy with Axxess until now, the only problem I had was that I "don't have speed when I need it most". I work from home, so I needed an account that offers the best of both - the ability to download to my hearts content and not be penalised like hell for doing so. This was having an impact on certain tasks I perform on a daily basis.

I would often find that if I had a particularly hectic weekend of downloading (E.g. downloading BF4 a week or two ago) then I would only get between 100-220kbps on all main protocols (Email, browsing etc.) even though these are always meant to have priority.

On my new business account from Afrihost, I have done about 70GB so far and have not seen any issues with any funny shaping/throttling/shafting as a result. Still early days, but I am impressed so far.
