Axxess Cell C LTE - Still down....

I guess it's back to the drawing board for cell c to give mtn a proper agreement.
In the meantime we the users who pay in advance for this service gets dropped.

So what does this mean?i have coverage for LTE A but not fixed,do i fall outside the coverage area now?

I spoke to the technical guys last night and this morning.
They tell me that the big bosses are in serious talks with mtn and cellc.
But it seems they will not reach an agreement.
Users affected will be credited.
This is not a error or setting issue on the user side.
Thousands of simcards were deactivated on purpose because mtn and cellc could not reach an agreement.
I have already ordered a new sim with telkom.

Dear Axxess Client

You contacted us with regards to your Cell C service that stopped working. Cell C informed Internet Solutions that their roaming agreement with MTN will not apply to the Cell C services sold via Internet Solutions with immediate effect as of Friday last week, since this took place we have been receiving reports of clients experiencing no connectivity in outlying areas of the Cell C Fixed LTE network. We have tirelessly been attempting to address this with Internet Solutions since Friday morning without success.

We have taken a decision to offer our affected clients a credit and immediate cancellation as we do not foresee that a resolution is forthcoming at this time.

We sincerely apologise for the disruption and inconvenience this has caused. Please reply to this email with your affected username/s in order for us to process your credit and set your cancellation. Should you wish to return hardware purchased with your service please provide us with the collection address and preferred collection date, we will arrange for the collection of the device at no cost to you. Once received and checked on our end we will credit your account.

Thank You

Kind Regards,

Does telkom roam through MTN? What package did you take?

This is bloody pathetic. Absolutely bloody pathetic.

We get punished because of politics and idiotic management

if I remember correctly.... Only prepaid sims roam and they have allnet data that you can use on roaming.

Then there's telkom data which only works with telkom lte signals. No roaming.

Ofcourse I will be staying in a town that does not have that flippen signal.

I cant believe this, we get punished because someone wants to fill their pockets. Bloody imbosils

Yes you can use a Telkom LTE Sim to roam. But it will only roam onto MTN using 3G.

There is light at the end of the tunnel.
I got the 80GB Anytime data Softcap at R599 per month from 153Mobile. This is month to month so you don't get caught in a 24month contract.

(I hope I am allowed to add this here. I cant find anything on the forum rules) I don't work for 153Mobile.

If you want a month to month simcard, Speak to 153-Mobile.

Email Matt or Alicia (tell them Ernest Himself sent you)

They supply clients with a month to month LTE connection either trough Telkom or MTN.
I have used their services before and they are excellent. Sims can be delivered or picked up from their offices in Umhlanga KZN.
These sims are also unrestricted. So you can NAT/port Forward. :)

I hope this helps those of you stuck with this Axxess CellC agreement.

It has come to our attention that some Internet Service Providers (ISPs) that resell Cell C’s fixed-LTE service to their customers have sold this service outside of the fixed-LTE coverage areas. Our contracts with these partners’ stipulate that ISPs are obliged to consult the Cell C fixed-LTE coverage map to ensure customers are within the coverage areas before selling this service to customers.

Please contact your ISP to verify if your address falls within our Fixed LTE coverage zone.
