Your average usage is less than 1gb a day!
Time to move onto another ISP I would say... :whistling:

Im with Afrihost - and it is just that the internet, quite literally Worldwide, is being overloaded with all the software updates from multiple companies. Everyone is being shaped - it'll pass in a few days.

LOL. And I thought them throttling me after 36gigs on a 2MB account was bad.

Looking at your usage, you may as well get an Afrihost 50GB capped account...

But this is horse****. Why do we constantly have to jump from ship to ship to get bearable internet services.

It seems to me there is a huge ebb and flow regarding the QOS between service providers here in South Africa.

Why is there NO consistency?

A while ago MWEB was hailed as the best ISP if you were a downloader. Now it's Afrihost. Who's to say Afrihost's executives might not decide tomorrow that they are also going to impose some instantly-thought-up-policy restrictions on all users.

Afrihost capped accounts were always quality, and they're cheap now too. It's the uncapped accounts that saw people jumping from ISP to ISP.

I'm on afrihost and I'd say that they have suddenly become stupid with their shaping.

If it says anything after "Shaping Policy:" in the user CP it crawls. This is what mine says: 18.8% Download/ 6.25% P2P. Now wtf does that mean? All I know is that I'm getting this download speed:
Download Speed: 615 kbps (76.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 406 kbps (50.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 176 ms

If it says none then I get full line speed. Ive done 120 gigs on my 4 mg line.

We agree with you that your usage is definitely too low to justify being managed. Our internal engineers noticed a degradation of service on our network yesterday and were investigating the cause. It seems you were affected by this. Will follow up on their progress and get back to you. Our apologies for the inconvenience.

atleast had 1 call today, lucky all my clients are asleep or on holiday :p

before getting niple rise and going on a rant , try use alternative means and check on the site if there is an issue or ... call ?

On Saturday, Axxess stopped managing me. But this morning (Sunday) when I woke up and started downloading again the speed was again down to a crawl (10KB/s). I checked my account and low and behold I was back to being managed again. :mad:

Check my usage.

I'm not going to contact Axxess with my indivual details for The Axxess Lady clearly said that they experienced a system wide degradation of their service.

Does this mean that all Axxess customers are being managed?

I have a 1mb line. this is my first month with axxess, ive been very reasonable with my usage. only 3 occasions where there patch days for a game that i play. i had to download the patch twice on the same day because it failed with an error. as you can see. im clearly well below 1gb the whole month. that includes speaking on TS3 and mini patch days almost every 2nd day. yet today i find that i'm now managed..
