Axxess just Surf accounts

I just cancelled from my Axxess control panel.... I think it will keep renewing month to month until you cancel.
 
Holy ****. The Just surf 4096k acc ount costs like R999. Maybe thats a mistake? Not to mention that the 8192k account costs R1899 for just surfing. OMG that is expensive!

They will stop the data if you don't pay when it's due, but the invoices will continue. In fact even if you send an e-mail they still invoice you. Just ignore it.
 
I tried this account for about a week, it was total and utter shyte! ( worse than mweb uncapped for wow. at least on mweb it's only WoW that lags - everything lags to hell on this account, not to mention slow browsing and poor peformance in a general sense )

oh , and do yourself a favor and call their socalled "24/7 support" . rude and pathetic!

lying money grabbers like axxess really deserves to go out of business, holding thumbs....
 
Wow and I thought us mweb users were having it bad! LOL Thinking twice now about changing ISPS!
 
I changed my Linux machine (my router) to use the Just Surf account again to see if the product has improved.

The throughput on this account never goes over 15KB/s on my 384 line.
Downloading HTTP = 14.5 KB/s
Opening a large flash webpage = 14.5 KB/s
Opening a youtube video = 13-14.5 KB/s

Why would anybody want to cripple a 384 line further?

I am happy with my initial decision to cancel it.

I wonder why they don't rename the product to: Axxess - Just - Half Dial-Up modem speed - surf. That would be a realistic impression of the product.
 
You guys are idiots. Trying to game on an account that's called "justsurf"?

It's called just surf because its just for surfing. Not gaming. What a big surprise...

FYI the offer said you can use online video and gaming with this account, smartly, axxess has changed that to just browsing and email....

Yes but the problem comes in, the account doesn't even allow you to "just surf" at 384k as davemc mentioned.

I wonder if that qualifies as false advertising... < Note the sarcasm ;)
 
This justSurf account has been an enigma to me. I have no idea how they work there shaping - I'm on a 384k line and for the past day and a half I've been able to download a game from steam at an average of 30-40kB/s
and today i managed this on speedtest

haven't tried gaming on it yet - usually I can't connect to servers
Yet a few days ago I was getting the super shaped, super slow speeds (as implicitly advertised)

Anyone else on justSurf 384 that's getting these speeds? or am I lucky?

wondering if i should cancel my cancellation :)

JustSurf blocked the ports which are used by iTunes store and/or Skype account. Watch out for that. You can (against the policy of this account) download almost anything, but a simple update of an iPhone app via the iTunes store is blocked. This is so wrong, unless they tell you before you decide, that they block ports…
 
Can any1 tell me the difference between their Just surf for R99 and their just uncapped for R196,how much better is the R196 just uncapped? Is it worth the +-R100 more? Looking to get about 50 - 60gb a month,would it be possible on the R196 account? Thanks
