Axxess uncapped 384k disconnection problems

I've signed up for axxess uncapped this month and for the first 15 days it worked perfectly, ever since this afternoon I've been having disconnects every hour, and cannot reconnect for +/- 15 minutes. I've tried phoning axxess customer care but I could not bare holding on for more than 30mins. Any ideas why this is happenning? The disconnects, not the poor service?

Is this IS account or SAIX? I know there's been posts about SAIX having problems. Also, maybe it's your ADSL line causing problems?

I had the problem of disconnects every 30min last year, and in my case it was corrosion on the wire that goes from the point in my garden to the splitter inside. This was mostly caused by water getting inside...

If you are waiting 30 minutes + , I can only think that there might be others struggling like you which would indicate problems with Axxess accounts or more likely the SAIX or IS backbone.
 
I can safely rule out any hardware software or physical problems on my side, this is because all my other ADSl accounts function perfectly, The uncapped I believe is an IS connection, so there must defintely be something wrong with IS's backbone. Would changing to a fiber account make any difference?

I believe it would make a big difference! You should have a more stable setup!
 
To be honest I think the R100 difference is not worth the cost saving, especially for streaming\gaming etc.
 
go for fiber

been using them for a while and had one hick up right at the beginning.. since than all working flawlessly...
 
got the 384 uncapped express account with axxess & everyday 04:00-08:00 & 16:00-20:00 i cnt do a thing i phoned axxess a number of times they say all is fine yesterday i was told to phone telkom & reset my ports which they did 3 times & stil got same problem.
 
I had DNS issues yesterday but thank heavens eve uses IP so I could play fine. Consider spending the extra R100, seriously.
 
PAP authentication issues still happening every few hours. The call center said they are not getting any other people complaining about it happening.

:mad:I've gotten tired of complaining, the call center guys always, always seem to find a problem with my end of the line "your router is trying to connect too many times", "You can only have one session connected at a time" , "try resetting the modem". I've tried all of this to no avail, their support staff are pathetic, seriously, I have given up complaining. AND I'm seriously having second thoughts on renewing for next month. Maybe I should go to openweb, any suggestions? Is the service better from Openweb?
 
Seems like it's a common occurence now.

I also have an uncapped account but through openweb.

Last week it was super slo mo - so eventually got pissed and contacted them, they said no it's your line , yadda yadda.

I contact telkom amazingly techie came out same day to investigate, even after techie gone no change.

I mail and complain some more, they indicate that they will ask IS to reset my port, suddenly , I am flying, last week for an entire week on a 4mb line, I managed 20gb, now in an evening from 19.30(evening until 8.00(in the morning) I can do 8gb's+ depending on the torrents.

So me is going to send another missive, because I was robbed that 1st week.

I was taken for a ride.

8 Gigs in a hour? Thats BS? I do 400k and get 1.5 gigs an hr??
 
Wow amazing

Having same issue, applied for the 384k uncapped yesterday and low and behold.. just after 4am Cant login and I bet It will work fine again from 8am. I cant use a service like this.

During the time I could stay connected it was a very good service but if this is the way they go about, hoping people wont be awake at 4am thus killing their connection I will demand a refund, this is not part of the package.

Quite frankly pi$$ed of right now.
