Axxess Uncapped, anyone willing to split 3-ways?

I really don't think it matters if people want to share an account, all your ISP is seeing is a different IP address (you could be staying at 3 address - 10 days at a time). If problems occur with the arrangement you guys have then the ISP had nothing to do with it. :D
 
Let me know what their response is. I doubt they will have a problem with it. If they allow you to do it, I'm gonna set this up with some friends!

I mean if Axxess turn around and say that this isnt allowed, that they gonna monitor the changing of passwords and IP address... so what...

Then just keep at one persons house, and uncapped is generally more for downloading to your hearts content.

Axxess cant do **** if I have uncapped and download 800GB for 20 people and take R45 from each person... (just making a point here!)

you guys are missing the point, this ISNT an axxess product, they resell it on behalf of IS. IS is primarily a business service provider and as such had huge chunk of unused capacity at night so they repackaged their unused bandwidth in a way that would allow them to sell it en mass. Its a simple case of selling unused product that is going to waste. If you think I am lying take a look at how many service providers are selling the uncapped express product.
 
lets say i join in and i have the first 10 days i am not at home gone away for holiday how do u gonna disconnect the account on the 10th day so the other guy can take over???????????

I dont even know what that means.

Bottom line - responsibility goes two ways. You disappear and we cant disconnect you? Well, you pay for the next 10 days then (bye bye deposit). Then we STILL cant disconnect you? We drop your irresponsible a$$ like a hot potato, and find a replacement. I contact Axxess support, get them to drop the line, and reset the password(I'm the official owner, remember?). Problem solved.

In addition, I just discovered that Openweb has a half-month special. Exactly the same as Axxess, only works from the 15th of the month, costs R650 p.m. If we struggle to fine a replacement, we "downgrade" to 7 days p.m. each for R325. Once we find a third partner, we go back to Axxess.

I am very serious about this. Getting people to trust you with their money and internet aint no joke.
 
It will be the best to find someone that stays close to u if there are an problem you can just go and pop in at him, coz know i use the account i am in an car accident i cant phone and let u know what happened i get out 2 weeks later i phone then you tell me o sorry we kicked you out and we took your other R300 rand, then i will get an good lawyer and ride you for more that R300... just remember this is not the old S.A
 
I think it's a good idea and it may work only if the Durban people get to know each other first. You could even split it further because it still works out cheaper than having your own bandwidth and one can get a ton of stuff even in 5 days, nevermind 10. If it was end of November/December I would jump in ........

Is it locked to that router? Can we choose for it not to be locked? Lets see what they come back with.

@KillerB: Dude, always the extreme scenarios with you :p If you in an accident, you still have a cell phone. If you're not manning it (say you in a coma), someone close to you will be. They can always say you're in an accident.

I agree with the local thing 100%. Works out best for everyone.
 
If it is locked to one router (which I doubt) then you just pass along the router too, lol :D
 
I think their reply means you can go ahead with your plan. You aren't suggesting having more than one concurrent connection so it should be fine.

I was thinking about getting uncapped from SAOL but I'm still undecided so I'll let you know if I want in on this, hopefully there will still be some space. Also, I don't live in Durbs, so that could be a problem!
 
well some info the uncapped express+ accounts are not locked u must just set your router on bridge mode then use your pc to do the pppoe connection then u can have 30 ppl on the account 2 every one for 1 day..

(How do i know this) well been using the account for like 2years and have lend it out so some ppl that needed it, (very close friends that is.)
 
@Kaufies: Its easy for me to trust you, because I'm getting the deposit from you. That solves most of my problems. But can you trust me with your deposit and R300? That's the question :)

As long as you dont live on the extreme edge, with danger and distraction around every corner (yes, thats you, KillerB!), then i have no problem that you're not from KZN.

i just gave you some hard time that u can get every thing in order that's all i have 2 uncapped accounts to i don't need it, best of luck with it...
 
lol ...the lengths we have to go to get uncapped.
but this is a good idea generally... wouldnt be able to afford it
 
Interesting idea! could work pretty well. Don't think the Axxess guy quite understood what you meant :). Can't see why they wouldn't allow it though. Get a couple of gigs from Afrihost for the rest of the month and fire away while you've got the uncapped.
