Axxess Uncapped Subscribers Feedback

Does the Axxess DSL Control Panel reflect your guys usage correctly? If not where can one actually see accurate usage stats for your account?

trying to ftp work to clients in canada - 18kb/sec on my 4mb line - really lame.

@MrG - control panel stats aren't accurate, think you'll have to use your own software to measure traffic.

bleh. any reason you can think of as to why the control panel isnt accurate?

Axxess, care to explain how why you are contrevening your own adverts and AUP? I paid for a shaped account NOT A THROTTLED ACCOUNT.

Well I know for a fact that the AUP was there when I bought my account on the 29th of March as I read the whole blady thing b4 signing up, One of the tech guys told me to go check
my usage at http://users.isdsl.net and log in with my full username and password.

I have to say my seeds came down alot since my previous postings, im only getting about 2.5 Gigs (up and down) in a day at the moment.

(384 kbps shaped account)

Nowhere in Axxess AUP is there mention of throttling. And in their ad it specificly says " No thresholds/throttling on the account ". I can live with shaping but I have sent them traffic graphs proving throttling. Let's see what they do, otherwise I can just forward the same mail to ASA.

The only thing I dont understand is why LOCAL traffic is shaped the way it is.. (or throttled) whatever word you want to use. - IS News Server cached content isnt downloadable.

I am getting about 3.3Gb in a day on the 4096 account. This is seriously depressing.

I can sort of understand the need for international shaping, but why don't they relax the shaping on the local a bit. IS used to fly on cached content with the local 30gb accounts.

Downloaded 1.2Gb on Astraweb in the last 5 hours on a 4meg line. PATHETIC. Tonight I'm canceling Axxess and going over to Mweb.

I've done a record breaking 2.7gb since 07:30 this morning on Astraweb. This is going to be a long month...

Ok, so I'm not happy that the speeds are so slow, but since I'm stuck with it for the month I found some alternatives to the usual torrenting/RS etc and have pulled nearly 130GB this month. Not too bad in the bigger picture.

whats ur alternatives assagai? Only alternative ive thought about is TorrentFlux.

Cancelled this morning. Back to Express account. I'm going to give this another few months before I try again - probably Mweb this time. All I want is decent speeds after hours on news servers and little http shaping during the day - download on average 60-70Gb's a month so definitely not a power user. This has really been a very disappointing experience.

*bump* anyone had any feedback from Axxess yet about poor service delivery?

Are you being rate limited to 1Mbps atm Killer?

Mine atm:

Total MB Used This Month 91876.16 MB
Average MB Used Per Day 7067.4 MB

Http downloads are quick but torrents and news servers at the moment are running at like 10-20KB/s.

I am trying out torrent through http from www.furk.net you get a 200MB file limit and seems to download at about 100KB durning the day and speeds up at night.

ah okay. kewl. thanks :) Im getting the same results here. 100kb per second during the day from HTTP.
