Hello everyone

For the past week, I've been having a really odd issue with my Aztech 700WR router where it would not detect my PC connected via ethernet until I turn it off, wait a few minutes and power back on again. If I immediately power it off and on, it will not detect. Additionally, if another computer makes a connection via ethernet, it will drop the currently connected computers connected via ethernet until it is once again powered off, given enough minutes and booted up again.

I was considering doing a manual reset in the back, but I'm scared this might permanently void my computer from accessing the router page and this is my only router :(

To clarify, we had a massive storm 3 days earlier on the 27th, and our phone lines were damaged. Internet still worked, but would drop every few minutes and become insanely slow until I power it off and on again. After repeating this process to get some form of internet, 3 days later on the 1st, it started showing this problem. I don't believe the storm damaged the router otherwise it would have shown the issue on day 1, but I'm still concerned. (For the record, we called in a week back but our lines still aren't fixed. I have work to do and so frustrated, but I digress)

Can anybody help me out with this router issue? Has this ever happened before? If I get a new router, will it happen to that? Help would be much appreciated my friends! This router is basically my livelihood!

Also if it helps, the router gets really hot on the bottomside, I'm unsure if that's a norm or what.

Nevermind all, it officially died this afternoon. Won't read ethernet at all. Internet still is up but that's not saying much. Thanks anyway.
