Good day,

I am having difficulties in setting up the B618 to connect via LAN to my printer Canon MX860, any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks
K

Apologies!

PC connected to router via wifi, local network.

I cannot establish a connection with the router and printer via a LAN connection. When selecting print, a print error message indicates printer not responding. I am able to locate the printer in the browser via the printer IP. I downloaded the canon IJ network utility tool, when I run the application I get a warning that there are ports that cannot be used with current sttings?

Huawei have offered zero support wrt a queery.

I have very limited computer networking skills.

Would appreciate some guidance!
thanks

Connecting printer with Ethernet LAN cable or USB cable?

If with USB cable, then you must enable SAMBA print & file sharing on the router, it is disabled by default. I can't give you details, as I don't have this model.

If with Ethernet LAN cable, post router IP address, your IP address and printer IP ... EDIT. I see this is the case. Port is already used by your attempts to install a different driver. When running wizard create different TCP port.

Good day sajunky,

Thanks for info.

I tried setting up USB and enabling SAMBA print and file share, no success there?

I have also tried via Ethernet LAN, no success there either?

The router seems to be connected to the printer, as I can see the printer via browser and IP address.

So most likely some port not correctly setup?

Regards
K
