Baby monitors

we used the snuza for a few months. works very well, as a breathing monitor. however, if baby is in one room and you are in another, you might not hear it go off. Also, at a few months old, we found that baby simply pulled the thing off his nappy! We now use an angelcare, and have to say it is fantastic, does exactly what we want it too, monitors breathing and allows us to hear easily when baby wakes up in another room. My wife and I have both attended a first aid course / cpr for babies, children, so are confident that ifm God forbid, it goes off, we can be of use.

Thanks for this info, it is nice to hear from someone who has experience with this kind of thing......
Our baby is arriving in exactly 2 weeks, so this is nice information to have. It seems it will be the angelcare in the end
 
We didn't bother. We used one a few times with our 3rd child, but that's only because it was given to us... and we hardly used it.
 
Get Angel-care...but get it from baby boom...waaaay cheaper! we paid R1299 I think, its usually R1800 or so, I've even seen them for R2200 at a pharmacy.

But ja, get sound AND movement monitor, these things are grrrrreat!
