Former Protea cricketer driving in the yellow lane on the N1 north this morning to avoid the backed up traffic towards John Vorster. With his personalised plates AP ? GP. What a chop, obviously on his way to the cricket stadium. The English cricket team also passed in the emergency lane in their tour bus (with police escort though).

What happened this morning on the N1 south just after Menlyn Park, and the N1 North just after Botha offramp?

Was a major traffic jam....

A truck seemed to have lost it load (702 said accident but I saw no such) on the N1 NORTH before Garsfontein Rd, 2 or 3 of the 5 lanes closed, people on N1 SOUTh were slowing down to check the pretty flashing lights or somesuch.

There was also something before Atterbury (according to 702) in the N1 SOUTH (something like broken down vehicle, I didn't pay attention).
