Bad Driving thread

Sometimes I like to go around circles 2-3 times just to annoy the other drivers... Stay in JHB though.

Troll, go and play under a bridge with the other tro... beggars. Other people may actually have more important issues to attend to, than waiting at a circle for idiots who're playing around.

You've never done it? just because the guy that was sitting on your arse in traffic was douche, or perhaps to try and block taxis or just to let off some steam?

Everytime I see this thread i think I must get a dashcam...

Already did, except here's what the catch is:
1) You need Youtube to put the videos somewhere on the net.
2) Editing the video for the relevant/interesting bits is time consuming
3) Having to unload the camera every day is becoming a bit of a pain

Unload the camera?

Are you actually seriously asking if other guys here are braindead idiots? Only morons do what you describe yourself doing

Even if you do keep going round a traffic circle, how does that block other road users? They have plenty of time to go while you're pottering around the other side of the circle.

Had the best type of bad driving karma today in traffic.

M1s. Guy in his VW EOS decides he's not supposed to take the Corlett Drive offramp and cuts across the painted island in the left lane then cuts in front of me in the middle lane. Few 100 meters down the road I see a metro cop tearing past me, lights on, little burst of the siren and he pulls the guy off the road. Was pretty satisfying to watch

That made me all warm and fuzzy inside. :)

Give that Metro cop a very very very small Bells.

Just before the Olifantsfontein exit, yesterday around 10pm, a bakkie from Limpopo decides to remain on the right lane at 95 km/h while there was nobody on the middle lane and the road was almost empty.

I arrive way faster than him, he does not move, I slow down and follow him for 3 minutes and he still does not move, I flash him twice with the brights to tell him to move to the middle lane, still nothing, so I then pass him by the middle lane (I know I shouldn't but what are you supposed to do when this happens ?).

He then goes at 140 km/h to pass me, goes in front of me in the middle lane and hits the brakes from 140 km/h to 95km/h...

Get people like this every day going home. Had a guy in his Polo at 110km/h. I was patient for a bit. Then flashed him to move over. Guess what? He shows me the finger. :wtf:

This was before the N1/N14 split(Brakfontein Interchange) heading North. He stays in the right lane all the way right up until he forgets that he's being and annoying d-bag and then dives across all 4 lanes to take the N1 northbound cutting over the painted island and almost collecting with a few cars on his way.

I dont even get angry any more. There's no point. I just laugh at the stupidity of people

No, I didn't think of getting it at the time and after he hit the brakes I just decided to go far away as fast as possible by passing him (from the right lane this time).

It was a white old bakkie with the back covered and 6-7 people at the back, completely reckless...

I hate it when someone who is quite content pottering along at 90 decides that you have insulted their manhood* by overtaking them, and they have to, at any cost, get back in front of you. Invariably they race off over the hill only for you to catch up with them once they get it out their system and are pootling along again. I use cruise control a lot, and it always amazes me how often I can overtake the same idiot. We're averaging the same speed, but he keeps shooting off at well over the speed limit and then slowing right down. He'll be using more fuel than me, and risking fines for no logical reason whatsoever.

I'm convinced that they're hung like hamsters and compensating for it.

A select bunch of BMW drivers are like this.
