Bad Driving thread

Truck at night in the rain with no back light. Very clever...

I know I shouldn’t have snapped the pic but the road was empty and this was too big to not be reported, unfortunately his plate is not visible (HC30..GP I think).
The only time I've been first on the scene of a biker death was when a guy rode into the back of such a truck, under similar conditions.
Not a pretty sight. I hope someone can identify this truck.

Drive up the N3 from Durban to Jo’burg any week night and you’ll see at least one truck with no tail lights.

The amount of people I hooted at today to get them to stop fiddling on their phones while driving astounds me. I honestly don't know how people don't see it as a problem?

You should rather just WhatsApp them, all this hooting gets too distracting.

So I haven't done the morning school run in a very long time, but since my SO has the flu today I had to. And f u c k me but people drive crap in morning traffic. First a hilux stopped dead in the middle of an intersection while the evoque behind me to the left is changing into my lane, I really thought for a second he was going to drive into me but he stopped within the breadth of a ball hair. Then a lady in a CA yaris didn't see me changing lanes because (saw this after) she was sitting on her phone, some tyre screeching later she also missed me by a small margin.

And as I was dropping my son off this idiot in a polo sedan drove through a parking within looking around while seemingly shouting at a kid on the back seat, he only missed me because I hooted. F uc kit, can it really be that difficult to concentrate on driving. I hope I don't have to do this crap again tomorrow morning.

So I'm teaching my lady how to drive, she has a tendency of wandering off. The moment the car starts moving, she wanders off!!! And this absolutely grates me.
On sunday I took her to the practice grounds, I kept so cool as much as I could, eventually I lost it told her to get out of the drivers seat, shocked she looked at me, told her right to her face you will injure/kill yourself/someone if you keep wandering off. Didn't get any sugar that night!

Sounds about standard. I'm on the school run tomorrow :erm:

It's like people in the morning traffic is from a whole different planet, it's unbelievable.

My missus drives better than most people I know, but that came at the cost of many nights on the coach. Many fights later she is one of only a handful of people I trust enough to close my eyes and sleep when they are driving. I can be a horrible co driver. keep up the good fight, long term it's worth it.

My wife does not trust me one single bit, she says because I don't drive very often I'm a bad driver. I reply saying I don't drive very often, but when I do it's a drive to remember :D

I've seen you on a bicycle, I would be scared of you in a car. :)

So this idiot comes out of nowhere, and cut me off as I was merging into the left "slow" lane.

He proceeds to cut off a few other people, then speeds off in the emergency lane

If you drive as bad as your jokes...

I don't have a problem with people going into the yellow lane before the turn off lane at the traffic light start - I also do it at times. But ONLY when there is no one (pedestrains/bikes) in that lane.

Everyday as I leave work I ride on the big sidewalk because it is there for a reason, however where the road crosses the Blaauwklip river there is no sidewalk and I have to use the yellow lane. This is more than 200m away from the turn left lane, and every time there is some idiots coming from the front and I have nowhere to go.

Well yesterday I had enough and start waving at them showing them to get TF out of the yellow lane, one finger salute and all. Completely forgot my wife was coming past at that time but she must not have seen the middle finger and said she saw me waving as I passed, she was in the inner lane on her way to S/West so not one of the plonkers turning off at Jamestown.
