Bad Driving thread

Not exactly bad driving but saw an Uber (grey Corolla FM99GRGP) with tires used at such an extent that the tread indicator is not even visible anymore and makes it almost a slick tire...

People like this should be shot on sight.

Posted on our community facebook group yesterday:
This note is to all parents that use transport for their children. How careful are you in your selection? A transporter arrived at my school to fetch a child- this is the picture of the tire! An accident waiting to happen! When I protested the answer was" we only use this taxi to fetch from all the preschools and then take the children to the primary school where the main taxi waits to take them home!" As if that makes everything alright??? The parents do not even see that taxi with bad tyres, ripped seats and no seatbelts. Over my dead body will I let any child from my school into that vehicle- sadly there was nothing I could do about all the other children already in the taxi from other Preschools around us. I could not detain him and although I reported it yesterday I still have not heard from the traffic department. Please investigate all transporters very carefully!

This was the photo she took:

Afternoon traffic. This genius allows their child to hang out the back window.

One of my pet hates, people who are too good to wait in the queue like everyone else.

Sable road? Should be legal to run ****s like that off the road. And then block the turning lane if nobody wants to give him space.

Don't know about anybody else, but I'm finding it harder and harder to find people that can actually drive around a traffic circle and actually stay in their own lane - been cut off 3 times in 2 days halfway through a circle because the A holes cant manage staying in the lane they started in

Had my only accident because of this.
I was basically next to the guy when he nearly drove into me, I swerved away, hit the curb, bounce back into him and the accident ends up being my fault because I swerved into the curb.

Had a close miss with a woman in a 206 last month this way.

Managed to pass her 50m afterwards and to stop in front of her, she couldn’t fathom what she did wrong, for her the entire circle is for the first person on it.

Another pet hate is people who have no idea that they have right of way and slam on brakes as if it's a stop street. There's a circle in Plumstead, CPT that this always happens at when I'm behind someone and they have very clear right of way.

Had an accident at the massive circles in town that have traffic lights at their exits, when a taxi swerved from my left (I was in the middle lane, going straight), to my right in front of me. I swerved left and slammed straight into the back of someone who was over-eager on braking for the traffic light.

Thank you to the idiot in the gray Audi A4 sedan (NT 28214) that was creeping in the right hand lane on a B-road. Every time one switches to the left to overtake he accelerates so one can not so so. This is on a B-road where the double lane is only for a short distance.
Typical Audi driver mentality.

And what does the stupid cow think the lines inside the circle are for, decoration? I really should not be surprised that people could be that stupid.

I drove with a colleague going to Brackenfell via Kraaifontien once, there is a big circle on this road into Kraaifontein. Just before he enters the circle (with no cars in it), he stops dead, looking back the 2 cars behind had to apply dead brakes, how the fist one missed us I'm still not sure. The rest of that trip was done in complete quiet. I ended up driving back.

Sigh people who jump red traffic lights...

Happens on a regular basis at this intersection. Have had my dashcam for a few days and already have a few videos of idiots like these.

LOL, seeing that intersection reminds me of my years at the Tech, and that time a truck lost it's brakes and crashed into the Siemens building. My dream is still to one day get an old Hilux or Defender, reinforce it and when the light turns green just drive. Red light jumpers will get wrecked and I'll submit the dashcam footage to their insurance to make sure they stay off the road.

What's worse is from ahead of you, usually there are three/four cars that still jump it there towards the left.
I drive through that intersection 3 days a week.

So this morning, White Corolla with plates CL 28 WC GP was driving like an A-Hole, Speeding in the yellow lane to dodge traffic, tried to gap infront of me but couldnt make it coz car infront of him slowed down! then all of a sudden, when he finally cut infront of me, He just stopped dead in flowing traffic!! Because of his Idiocy, A taxi hit me from behind!

Lo and Behold, when said idiot realised he'd caused an accident, He sped off!!! tried chasing but dint get too far as I was too afraid to leave the scene of accident.

this Fecker will get away with this now.. if only i could find him!!

:(

Report this to your insurance, and the police. As far as I know you are not allowed to leave the scene of an accident if you in any way involved.

Keep left, pass right!

To all you right lane hoggers;

Although this is based in the US who drive on the right, the same rules apply to us on the left.

I wish it were a law enforced here. Unfortunately a large majority of the "right lane hoggers" are self-righteous individuals traveling at exactly or slightly below the speed limit, regardless of the speed or presence of cars to their left. They are the ones who will argue that it is their right to be there and it is their job to enforce the law and prevent you from going faster than them.

Perhaps it's our broken K53 system that caused this as K53 does not have any requirement to drive on a highway or learn highway etiquette as part of learning or the test itself. I've often seen cars in the right lane, with absolutely no cars in the left lane, move over for me when I come up behind them, only to move back into the right lane once I've passed. It's absurd.
