Bad Driving thread

Agreed. My kids know better. My nephew, when he gets into the car with his parents, bounces from the back seat into the boot space and vice versa and yet when he gets into the car with either me, my wife or my daughter, he sits down and straps himself in without having to be told
have we had thsi conversation before it sounds so familiar?

If you look you will see the robot is red. We were standing still.
get a dashcam - even a cheap **** one comes in handy.

I have actually been thinking about it, but dont want wires running all over the dash /meh

No untidy charger wires all over the dash with my Garmin DC45 dashcam - I got this accessory Parking Cable from Garmin and had it installed by a car sound fitment centre - it has a 4 m cable and is routed behind the dash, up behind the trim on the A-pillar, so it is totally concealed and all you see is about the last 5 cm with the power socket behind my mirror, where the magnetic mount is located.

It is wired into an accessory circuit that always has power, so that when you park your car and turn off the ignition, it goes into 'Parking Mode' and will record if there is any movement or an impact to your car whilst it is unattended.

It also has a safety cut-off for the power feed, so it won't drain the battery flat if left connected for an extended duration.

On my way to customer there was two guys in a VW polo next to me at the red robot. Guy in passenger seat was sitting with toddler on his lap not buckled in. Seems good parenting has gone out the window.

One of the big things that makes me angry, specially here is people that drive 40-60km/h in a 100km/h zone.
had it again this morning going to work, it is people like this that causes accidents.
If you cant drive at the speed limit then get off the road.

The other is the heavy haulage truck travelling on a weight limited road. They are not supposed to be on this road but don't give a fark.
The sad thing is these rules are not implemented by the traffic authorities, instead they ignore this with the hooligan taxis and pull over law abiding road users instead.

Not true.

A truck stopped by Cape Town traffic cops at the weekend turned out to be overloaded by at least 25 tons.

more than 30% of trucks weighed by traffic cops since July 2018 were overloaded, leading to fines exceeding R1m in total.

I see taxi's being pulled over almost daily on my commute to work. Just yesterday there were 4 or 5 taxis nabbed for cutting the queue where the R27 splits to the N1 north and south on Marine Drive in Paarden Eiland.

Might be true there but not here.
What I meant by heavy haulage trucks is the alt route we have here is limited to 10-15t but the big trucks on this road is common leading to the road being in a bad condition.
The road in question was not designed to carry heavy trucks.
