Bad Driving thread

Thinking ahead as well... not just defensive driving. The road past Waterkloof AFB towards the R21 is on a steep incline. I was driving from the AFB towards Garstfontein when I passed a heavily laden truck who's going down the hill at 40km/h (estimated). Further on the traffic lights was out. I decided not to get in front of the truck (which I always do when on a long/steep descent) but to remain in my current lane.

Sure enough, I would've been squashed.

At the traffic light (which was dead) it was the turn of a Pick 'n Pay truck to drive, and I had just stopped. Then I noticed the heavily laden truck battling to come to a stop, and it managed to do so just in the nick of time - but the space between the two trucks was less than my car, so had I been in front of that truck.... *shudder*

I did some bad driving this morning. I was driving along the highway at about 130 when I lost all electronics, power, brakes and steering. Not the way you’re supposed to drive apparently. Luckily I managed to get over to the side of the road safely.

Battery terminal was loose on my brand new ****ing car. At the dealership now discussing my immense displeasure. Fukcing useless cnts.

Ask them for their PDI list?

What do you mean brakes and steering? Do you mean you lost the assistance?

I've run out of fuel freeing down hill so no Vacuum for the brakes but its still manageable although I imagine jy sal die kak yt die briek moet trap for a emergency brake.

Bloody hell, again. This must be the worst dealership in the country, by far.

I have it. Everything was done including vacuuming the flux capacitor and decoupling the transistor valve from the inverse time shank.

Basically they didn’t tighten the battery terminal so I lost everything. No assisted steering, brakes etc. but they’re designed around the boosters and assistance so they’re nearly useless. Used the handbrake to actually stop the car.

Yup. Won’t be going there again. ****ing imbeciles. And you can’t even put on hazards or indicators or anything so none of the other drivers could see I was about to change lanes etc... great fun.

Men who are jerks and who break traffic laws prefer high-status cars, study says - Autoblog

I can agree:

When I want to break the law like not paying attention, I prefer to do it in a Luxury Truck like 3:05.

Or even the luxury of a hatchback when I drive into on coming traffic.

Then again 18:40 is the luxury I prefer speeding down a road.
