Baldur's Gate 3

Thank gods that its not being developed by Bioware studio Thanks Jesus

The thing I liked about BG2 (and many games if that era) was the fixed leveling of the NPC enemies. If you were really good, you could go into a dangerous area and survive, or perhaps do some reconnaissance and get out with a few advanced items without being killed.

I think it was around the Dragon Age release, when this all stopped, and everywhere I went in the game, the leveling of the enemies adjusted by my level, which just gave the game a very artificial feeling. “Ooh, some level 5 trolls, they’re tough, let me come back once I’ve leveled up. Doh, now they’re level 11.”

Leveling up felt like getting a 50% raise only to find out there was a simultaneous 50% price hike at the same time, and that the only real advancements were the qualitatively different spells and such.

Oooh, Illithid! This is going to be interesting

Larian Studios is killing it.

Divinity: original sin 2 is in my top 10 games of all time, I have really high hopes for this game.

Happy to hear Larian Studios is doing it. I really, really don't want them to pull a Diablo 3 on us. Please honour what came before.

Officially announced now. Super excited for this, BG2 remains my all time favorite game.

Now just for minsc and boo to be in the game.

Super happy Larian is doing it.

I've been with them since their kickstarter for Divinity Original Sin 1, and been meaning to play some of their older titles.

The WoOS is ready

I see people are already complaining about the Illithids, and how boring they are as the main villain... Sheesh, they haven't even said anything about the damn game yet, for all we know they're just part of the intro chapter of the game.

Larian hasn't done that yet but they do like DLC's and Definitive additions, so you can look forward to more content. When the definitive edition is released the game gets an update and you automatically get that free.

Larian has really not put a bad (money hungry) foot forward, they just make great games and people buy them.

Added to my Steam Wishlist, no date. I see it is also announced on Google Stadia so maybe September??? Well, it has to be between the launch (subscription) and F2P phase.

Floating alien creatures? This could ruin the series. They should stick to fantasy and not science fiction. A storyline that doesn't ruin the series is a big part of a game. It's not just the game play and graphics.
