Baldur's Gate 3

Yeah man Act1 is fantastic. Probably the best out of the 3, but perfect worldbuilding imho.

I'm 145hrs in and still not finished with the game. It's fascinating how different everyone's stories play out - especially with who they keep in their party. I messed up the grove by accident and never even got to recruit Wyll or Karlach. But I did turn her severed head in as a bounty for a cool sword, so there's that I guess. Apparently she's the coolest party member.
I find Act 3 the best.
Lower city is goddamn massive.

Everyone is speaking about Karlach but I dont even think I met her, and I got Helsin back to the grove and helped the Tieflings etc. I feel like I've missed a lot and defintiely need another playthrough. It also was not in any way clear to me where Act 1 ended. I'm currently in the Lower City in Baldurs Gate, which I take to be Act 3.

You'd only really know about her with Wyll

They do kinda say before transition that "You cannot return here once you proceed" for the Acts
Karlach is bae for a good-but-kickass playthrough

Played around 3 hours of BG3 on release day for PS5 early access, and wow, early impressions are basically flawless. But this will probably have to wait until I'm done with Starfield.

It is a pretty cool game :-)

Man why is Shadowheart so hard to gauge.

So glad to hear it's a good experience on PS5. Larian has done such a fantastic job overall and the bigger the reach of this the more we as gamers benefit.

I find it easy to predict what she wants to hear, but maybe that's just me :sneaky:
Yeah the cunniving and lying she likes, but she also likes animals. But she doesn't like greed, problem is I'm a rogue for a reason

To express my poignant regret at seeing how much those who do enjoy the genre are enjoying the game.

Its great to see that awesome games are still being produced.
Ah I see, you could just give it a try :)

I have tried every BG game since the original (do you remember Boo?) - for whatever reason it's never grabbed me so I enjoy it vicariously through others
Fair
Some see it as Dragon Age's technical successor, with BG storyline

Noooo, I'd rather off that annoying Githyanki Shadowheart at least heals
Yeah never had the Gith in my party, and she got killed in another scenario in ACT 1...
And agree, it was great having Shadowheart in the party but the story choices you make :)

Also playing as a paladin, and drafted in Jaheira after removing Shadowheart.
