Baldur's Gate 3

Some have plot lines and cause cut scenes. Also some have recipes in them that you learn once you read it.
I mean I don't physically read them :) just say use or read, that should put the recipe right?

It becomes a chore just to do that. I wish there was a multiselect or autoread option if you pick it up or something to show it is unread.

That would be cool actually

I dont know if its because im playing the game wrong or something but this game is difficult on normal. I'm only level 3, either I die in a fight or win it by the skin of my teeth.

Worst thing is dying and the latest save is 20 min ago, I really need to save more often.

Also why doesnt my character have any dialogue voice lines...lame man.

The main character is silent. There are no lines for them.

Could be,you playing normal mode or ez mode? DnD can be punishingly challenging if you don't have a base knowledge of how things work

Tactics, also check your builds and always examine your enemy to figure out their weaknesses

What is your party setup? Is this the first game of this genre that you're playing?

Duh doy, but why... It's the main character.
Considering there are multiple choices for you characters voice, can you imagine all the extra work to get multiple people to read the lines for the same character?

There are also a large group of people who complain when the main character has a voice.
Just look at Fallout 4 and how people lost it, because the player character spoke.

Don't worry about it, the first few levels make you feel very underpowered in general.

Worth noting, your skills don't recharge automatically. You have to go back to camp to rest. I save before and after every fight - as well as interaction with NPCs. So basically every 5mins or so I just hit F5 to quicksave...and once in a while I'll make a new save.

I played on EZ mode for a bit during lvl3-5 because my dude wasn't optimized and I struggled a bit with ranged combat. You'll get used to it eventually, but don't feel bad if you fail a bunch of times.

I'm in act 2 and the fights have got more challenging, I really like that.

In DOS 2 after act 1 you were so far ahead everything was easy you just played till end game.

Well, when you reach level cap in act 3 and far beneath all major enemies you might wish it was DO2
It get's near impossibly tough

It just adds wasted time. For example you read through all the options, then select one. Then if it was voiced another N seconds would pass before you'd get the reply.

Not going to lie I love it when it's tough, in DOS 2 I was using mods to have double the hit points and double mobs.

I'm more excited for the end game now.

Tough is very subjective, though. For me Act 1 was harder than Act 2 - the goblin camp had me reloading quite a few times. Act 3 doesn't feel that hard, but I've also played around enough with my char builds that they work well for me. I'm only playing on normal, though, which I don't think it was meant to be especially hard.

Goblin camp was a cake walk. First time I was even escorted in, I let prisoners go, I was tortured. I was of course disguised as a drow. Killed the leaders without much fan fare. Then when they captured the owl bear cub I teleported in and mopped the floor. It depends on the party you take

The unfortunate truth is there's so many ways to skin a cat if it's hard it's because you chose it that way - or didn't know how to make it easier
Like masquerading as drow,or poisoning their food

Act 3 is easy till it is not
There are a lot of boss level fights
Not naming them for spoilers sake
