Hi there
I recently upgraded to uncapped (4mbps TI), so my data usage concerns are gone, but they've been replaced with a whole new problem, bandwidth.
There's 1 PC, 2 laptops and 2 phones running on the same connection here at my home. Is there any way I can manage bandwidth on the network without dedicating one of the computers as a server? I want to be able to split bandwidth, or maybe even smartly control it, according to the real-time needs of each device.
I am using an old crappy MEGA 105WR WiFi router. I know some higher end switches has firmware that can control individual connection bandwidth, but my budget doesn't allow for that at the moment.
Any suggestions?
