Bandwidth price cuts

Ya, i'm really getting tired of the same posts. How many now, 30/40 now? Every month there's at least 1 post along the lines of "Bandwidth Prices will Fall" or "Servere Bandwidth Price Drop" or some tantalising subject which always ends up regurgitating the same old crap. We know nothings gonna change until at least 2010, so there's no need to keep rubbing it in!

Its like showing me a Chocolate browney and saying I can only eat it in 2years.

I can think of better ways to be teased.

i head that telkoms pays less that 10 cents per gb, than selling it for like 50, thats like a gaziilion % mark up... damn telkom

@thedutchman, it kinda matches their call centre representative number to incoming calls.

Incoming calls = 10000...000
Call centre representatives = 0.5

Just imagine what its gonna be like when all those cables start landing and the prices start falling, I reckon its gonna be one long christmas in 2010! Come on guys, we're over half thru this year already, 2010 will be here soon and we'll all be using our 8 meg lines and complaining that 50gb caps at R100 is ridiculous:D after reading over this post now, i get the feeling that I have popped one to many happy pills today!

Correct me if im wrong but they mentioned a drop from a R1000pm to R400pm and thats a 60% drop in price. Now when did we start paying 60% less per gigabyte pm???

All thats really come down is the line rental price and that we shouldn't have been paying in the beginning!

This is madness, I will never see telkom give away free local bandwidth...

I doubt things will change, I just hope one thing for sure is that Neotel will make the change in this country. Give them time, we will get fibre connection to our homes by 2010/2011. Hopefully then Telkom wont match Neotel offering atm.

Check Neotel has UNCAP Offering.
Telkom no uncap offering only at around R2000 ++++++++

Everytime I see these threads I think yessssss the adsl gods are looking down on us and the prices have finally dropped!

What a cruel sick joke!

haha, 0.5 representatives kind of sums up this whole Telkom fiasco :D

round about this time next year i predict the devil canning his local promotion and seriously dropping his prices in a last attempt to trap new believers into a contract.
