Hi all,

I am currently using WhatsUp Gold software that allows me to see whats going on, on the network.. We have about 80+ Users on our network, i can track the bandwith that was used with this software but i was wondering if anyone know of anything related what programs use this bandwith? Like Netlimiter that tells you exactly what program is using how much bandwith on the users PC.

I realy dont want to go install Netlimiter on every single PC on our network.. so anything thats like WhatsUp Gold would also be appreciated.

Thanks.

Ahhh..good old WhatsUp Gold!! :)

Stof - I am a fanatic when it comes to Opensource, why pay for something when I can get it for free :) - OK what you can do is 2 options. Option 1 is to install EZCacti (http://cactiez.cactiusers.org/) and run this in conjucntion with WhatsUp. I'm not sure on your Linux skills (Opensource = have to know a bit of a Linux), and configure NTOP which comes with the install. Its a very cool app that breaks down all traffic according to IP address as well as what type of traffic etc. There are loads of other cool features on CactiEZ.
Second option is to install NTOP as a windows (under linux emulation) app. I havent tried this option but might be easier if you are not hot on Linux.

Have a look at the documentation etc also at http://cactiusers.org/ to see what other stuff you might find useful !
Cheers - am now hitting the sack 1:45am !!!! Cisco CCVP exam coming up!
Any questions - give me a shout. I use Cacti for my network and it does its job well.
