It's a grudge purchase as I'll be traveling and need to work on the go (temporarily). I'll mostly be doing browser based CMS and php so nothing too hectic, really don't wanted to spend more than 6k on one but dont want a Celeron pos.

I've looked far and wide but am not too clued up with laptops so am posting here so that I can get some pointers in the right direction. Second hand prices on Carbonite are nuts and I'd rather buy new than save 1k.

At that price, I'd check out Esquire's offers on Lenovo V310 (and maybe V510) machines.

They are generally reasonably specced, decently built, and shouldn't break the bank. That is if you can live with 4GB RAM, WXGA and an i3 or i5.

Cheers haven't looked there yet, going over now. I'll literally be using it for 1 month so not worth spending on a high spec as I've got 2 beasts at home for that.

Do I have to reg as a dealer though? Seems like a schlep to reg for a one off purchase

it process is very easy , check the signature at the bottom , fill your details and submit

You can also phone or email the branch (don't know which region you are in ) and speak to sales person , all branches have a cash sale account to assist you with your purchase

or email [email protected] as that mail comes directly to me

Regards
