Its free to download or you can order a cd for free.

If you have never used linux before, buying a netbook and then deciding to replace what ever verison of linux on it, with ubuntu is going to be a mission.

I installed ubuntu on my laptop (not my netbook) and i struggled to get the wireless working. Went on the forums and tried all the help guys gave me, i didnt come right. I eventually gave up.

If you going to get a linux netbook cause they cheaper then the xp versions thats fine, use what OS comes standard, or install xp or windows 7.

Thanks chaps , I really appreciate the input , although I am now very confused . I dont want to spend an arm and a leg just for something to check emails , browse etc. , but I would like to see my work pc (remotely), and I am sure there are some Linux remote viewer software bundles out there , but what is scaring me a bit, is it sounds like the Linux system is quite complicated

Hi guys ... never had a chance to put the netbook on during the day. I will do it the second I get home around 5. Price will be R1849 ... so I think its fairly cheap for your use Robass. And it comes with windows, so easy to use.

If you want to know the second I post it ... I will post a twitter update for it.

Linux though will have the advantage of running faster, although I have a 701cw myself and its fast enough for my purposes. At one stage I used it as a desktop with no issues (External Monitor / Keyboard / Mouse)
