Perhaps spotting is something that should be left to snipers. They tend to operate alone and sit quietly and can't really do much about armour. Think of them as forward observers.

I like to think that some commanders are pretty switched on to spotting reports and will allocate artillery fire to a target that is worthy. So maybe the spotting score should be handled in the same way that a kill assist is - if the spotted target gets slotted, then you share in the spoils.

I am sitting at work, bored out of my mind, and have this uncontrollable urge to play. Does anyone feel the same?

This thread does not help much. :D

Does anybody else have problems with setting the screen resolution after the patch from the command line?

I have "+szx 1440 +szy 900" in the command line, but BF2 seems to run at 800x600 which on my computer (Dell Inspiron 9300), which gives me a headache after one game, because it is so blurry and skewed.

Does anyone have trouble connecting to the 196.4.79.20 server. I can connect to the other 3 but not that one. Any ideas?

I use 1280x1024 via command line - have no problems.
Could be that your resolution is a really strange one, that's why it's not working?
Try something more standard.

Has anyone noticed that the rankings seem to ignore any subsequent purple hearts? I got my first one in September, and I got a second one the other night on Zatar Wetlands, but it's just not reflecting in my stats. Friend of mine also received a second one quite awhile ago, and he says it doesn't reflect on his stats either.

Oh well. Maybe EA are shielding us from embarassment by not showing more than one purple heart :D
