Don't think so, it has to authenticate to the EA servers. If you are a SAIX adsl user I think you can play even if you are capped.

Yep, got capped around 10th of the month playing BF2 online with a few friends at home. Can still play now but can't browse the internet at all. The authentication to EA is a little slower and sometimes does get stuck.

I've heard that it can take 20 minutes or so to authenticate sometimes.
 
Lol, sometimes feels like it takes that long without being capped thanks . . . :p

Grumble grumble, busy waiting for BF2tracker to send me the registration confirmation *tap* *tap* *tap* *tap* .. ..
 
Discovered something worse than noob gunners last night. "Sunday afternoon" pilots/drivers.
"Yes it's a lovely view of the city. It looks very pretty from the edge of the Map, and there may be one lone Sniper hiding 5km out of town we might find, but personally? I'd rather go TVG a tank or infantry or cap a spawn point thanks . . "

LOL doobiwan, enjoyed playing with you last night...the servers were very unstable. During the second game I got the dreaded 'There is a problem with you connection' and the server then disappeared. Seems that SGS were having a bad nite!

Has your bf2tracker registration come through yet?
 
Yeah I don't know what's up with those servers :P

They only run the two 48's, lock the 32 and turn off server IV? The lag on 'I' last night was unbearable at times. It must have been horrid for the ISDN guys.

Still no email, very odd. Did you get yours?

I registered yonks ago with them...so I didn't have to wait ;)
