how do you get promoted? is it the kills that count or the points?
I have been promoted but i dont know how
 
your promotion will kick in next time you are within the BFHQ. It usually plays a trumpet and a scandily clad woman walks by announcing your promotion, then you get to choose a weapon to unlock. ;)
 
You have to make the points, log out / server update, the next time you score points there'll be a trumpet and a flash. The Scantly clad woman only kicks in at Seargeant.

yeah but is it the overall points, kills points or what? i know about the trumpet thing but no scantly clad woman yet:rolleyes:
 
what are the weapon unlocks? me wondering how me can shoot people a million times and not die and then they shoot me once and i vrek
 
rburley - shoot the throat for as close too possible instant death.
Also - in-game, the higher scoring peeps have a game-induced advantage which makes them even stronger.
There is a weapon unlock for each soldier caste.

sitting in a tank or attack chopper is usually safer... :p

for your first unlock go for the item of the kit which you play the most... the things is you cannot UNDO an unlock... its a one way ticket... ;)
 
The "one shot kills" typically mean you're standing too close to an AT with the Shotgun unlock, You're standing still in front of a sniper, or an Assault guy with a G3 just shot you in the head.

Experience has taught me that holding down the fire button point in the enemies general direction does not constitute "shooting someone". Try to stand still, aim, and fire in bursts.

. . Or unlock the DAO12 and just go mad.
 
1st Promotion

While deciding whether or not to change my nick and stuff, I got promoted. :)

So it looks like I will be sticking with B.Harrington for now.

Also, i played singleplayer on easy and was amazed at what playing online has done for my game.

Keep Fraggin Soldiers.

I got a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong way to go
 
took me two months of 2 hours per day average to reach 11000 points... welcome to the club. :D
