Just set BF2 to run on a new Resolution, then go back to the old one.
Then - you need to remove the optimised shaders stuff ... damn ... me forgots where that is.

YAY - Stats are Improving
Well, finally some of the areas in my stats are beginning to look decent
Okay, it may only be for the explosives stuff, but at least now I have one or two items where I have a kill to death ratio of 1 or more.
The pistol and knife badges are proving to be a real pain and the medic and engineer badges too, i always seem to get to four points on both healing and repairs, but always run out of tickets before i can get in the last point.
Did you guys also find it hard to get the engineer points.... or am i just impatient?

Drivers Updated
I used the winfox living update to update the gfx card / display driver for my leadtek winfast A360 (GeForce 5900 le)
Evrything else is cool, but BF2 is not, and that creates stress in my life..... there is an obstacle stopping me from getting my daily BF2 FIX!

Engineer I recon is the worst of the lot [having not played the Special Forces role yet].
You've got to sneak around with only 6 damn mines and a pathetic medium range weapon and no squad support cos your role does not interest them.

Engineers - Shotgun is questionable
Well, I am getting the hang of the mines, but it is a little annoying trying to find support or calling for supplies the whole time - on the other hand, how much fun would it be not being able to drive around because all the roads are riddled with mines (worse than Mozambique)
The shotgun I find a little sad, I got someone 4 shots in the chest (admittedly, I was not standing toe to toe) and ended up getting splattered by a machine gun.
I think an engineer looks like the kind of role where you live and die in the vehicle, only time you die outside is when you are repairing and get caught with your wrench out. Speaking of which - How irritating is it when you accidentally select the wrench in the middle of a gunfight when cycling through weapons. AAARGH!

*gasp* no specs ops yet? But it's the coolest kit! It's th only kit I feel comfortable spawning with, in an area I'm not sure off, because of hte long sprint and general all round ability to handle anything.

I've been flash banged half a dozen times and am yet to be killed. The bouncing around like a Duracell bunny on speed seems to help

It's the funniest thing in the world ...
I did it saturday night like 2 times in a row - to my teamies. ROFFEL. [Well - there were like 2 enemies there that I was trying to kill, failed miserably - laughed too much.]
Throw flashbang - "1 missisippi 2 mississippi 3 missisippi 4 mississippi" - look away.
"5 mississippi and a bit" - look back.
There's all these peeps bouncing around and quite a couple just standing there and some more running into the wall straight and some jying on the ground. In all the mayhem I could not locate the enemies - and so I threw another one ... but then it started to look really surreal and funny and I started to giggle ... and then I buggered up the count on the 3rd one and blinded myself.
I love this game.
