Hi all

I have recently bought a copy of Battlefield 3.. i have the following specs

Processor:
Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 @ 2.20GHz

Motherboard:
Foxconn
Model:671MX

Graphics:
NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT
Memory:1024 MBytes
Bus Width: 256 Bits

2GB of Ram

in multiplayer and single player whenever i shoot, it would jerk and it would repeat like a sort of loop...

what could be the problem:confused:

Any Help Would Be gladly appreciated
Thanx Guys:)

I'm rather surprised that your 9600GT is running it at all to be honest - definitely need an upgrade :)

^Nope.That's the expensive option.

My card is equivalent/slightly better than his (No fan, only CUDA) yet i run titles like Mirror's Edge and Medal of Honor 2010 (Both Frostbite 1) and Dead Space 2 and Skyrim etc also even Arma 2: Free (low-medium settings though)

So you see? My card is a beast that is up for challenges and tackles them very very well.
System requirements on boxes are misleading 70% of the time from what i know.

Uhm, okay the point is there is some sort of technical difficulty.Unrelated to the power of your PC.

I recommend Advanced System Care with Antivirus 2013 to fix all the craziness that clugs up in your PC.
Honestly can vouch for this software any day.

It is not:
>Spam
>Scam
>Expensive
>Virus
>Useless
>PC crasher

It is:
>Real good PC fixer
>Optimizer
>Fast worker
>Good detector
>Controllable
>Appealing
>Very handy

Infact, this software, without it for me my PC would be a snail.I am not advertising (not associated with IOBit)
It's just that they deserve to bee recognized for the excellent product.

Some googling around reveals it's actually not spyware, but software going for $30. :wtf:

What a bunch of fking bs RAS

He makes no mention whether he plays online but if he does he needs to upgrade, simple as that. I am amazed you can play online with that rig, far more resources are needed playing online. 2gb memory not enough, gpu won't give you nice frames which means you will struggle and that cpu must be struggling something chronic.

If you bought bf 3 for the single player i think you should research a bit before buying anymore games.

2gb ram and dual core is way to little , 9600gt should be ok on LOW settings.

Game needs 4 threaded cpu and 4gb ram

Clearly got some B.S responses here so i'll just clear this up because i'm not the idiot here.

1.R257 is not too much for a product that good? Maybe :p

2.Killadoob doesn't have any experience with the differences in PC range from what i can see.So let me lay down some facts.
>I play Medal of Honor 2010 [FROSTBITE 1]
-2mbps line [1mbps on speedtest]
-Playing SMOOTH and FAST
-Playing on a Celeron D [He has Intel Core 2 Duo]
-Playing on 512mb card [He has 1Gig]
-Playing on 1Gig RAM [He has 2Gig]

I played many other "high spec" games on my budget PC.

>Game requirements are as accurate as my ass
-DISHONERED is a nice example.Go see the requirements.

Let's just say that when i played it, any sort of lag was the last thing on my mind.

Next week i buy BATTLEFIELD 3 and i will be playing it online on the same PC.

Now like i said, try Advanced System Care with Antivirus 2013.They have a FREE version.Unlike the other lame virus programs, the "free" version isn't just a scan. It's a limited thing, the limits are just some extra tools.

Why don't you try that and come back to tell us who was right here? ;)

Your CPU is insufficient, your ram is insufficient and your GPU is insufficient. There is not much you can do other than to upgrade your Pc or get a new one. You can try to turn literally everything down especially the resolution.

You couldn't be anymore wrong, his Pc is hardly coping with the game, if you think a crap program like Advanced System Care is going to fix his problems then you are either trolling are indeed spamming.

Highly doubt that, reported for spam.

Here was my old gaming rig spec's
Processor:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 @ 3.8GHZ
Graphics:
ATI Radeon 6950 (Unlocked)
4GB DDR 2 800MHZ RAM

I could not even play Battlefield 3 on low on the 30+ nor 64 player maps so yea?
Had a Frame rate that dipped in the 40's that was not very playable for me.
Using a Celeron and a GPU less powerful than a 9600GT?? You must be joking right?

Like the other people mentioned the bottleneck would be your GPU and CPU probably.

I guess if you want to play Battlefield 0.5 with a res of 640 X 480 then go for it, otherwise upgrade that rig. Better yet, get a new one.

Rig is bit too old.Time for that upgrade.

Dot. - No software is going to sort out outdated hardware.

As everyone else here has mentioned, Battlefield 3 is a very intensive game. For multi-player purposes, it runs best with a mid-range GPU, a quad-core chip and DDR3 RAM. Anything less will reduce the game to a slideshow, especially with DDR2 RAM. You'd have to play with low settings at 1024 x 768 to probably get playable performance, that's how far behind the curve you are. Some people who are only going through the single-player component get away with a Core i3/AMD APU and a mid-range GPU.

My card is equivalent/slightly better than his (No fan, only CUDA) yet i run titles like Mirror's Edge and Medal of Honor 2010 (Both Frostbite 1) and Dead Space 2 and Skyrim etc also even Arma 2: Free (low-medium settings though)

Yeah, want to share what card it is, and at what resolution you're playing at? Nevermind the fact that BF3 runs on Frostbyte 2.0. Considering you're running a 250W PSU, I doubt you have anything much in the way of a powerful rig.

Actually, they're not, What purpose would it serve to have misleading system requirements? Its just what the developers recommend to experience the game the way they envisioned it. You may well be able to play the game with lower specs than what's recommended as a baseline, but very often you have to compromise on a lot of things before you can be satisfied.

Cool story bro. Come back when you know what you're talking about. No amount of software will improve performance of outdated hardware.

I usually find the baseline specs they recommend to low. I think they should bump them up a bit and err on the up side.

I think its a very fine line for devs to walk though. Either you under-spec and get more sales or you over-spec and scare away customers.

Things common sense should have told you: :D
>IObit facebook page alone has over 99,500 thousand followers, what good will a few googles from MyBB members do a company?

-No sir, i tweaked no settings on my card and i played smooth, sir. :)

Guys, i am not saying that a hardware upgrade can be replaced with a software upgrade. No, no, guys.

I am simply implying he try ASC w AV because it sounds like his PC is having technical problems inside it.He must then post here the outcome of such an action. If it does not work, then his hardware must change. That is all my brothers :)

Sorry to say,but if you are such a brilliant computer wizz why do you have to make a thread like this dot. ?

/snip link

Just putting it out there ;)

Just recommending a little program that did teh trick for me :) that is all.Yes he must upgrade, but only after he gives it a swing, it's only 50mb, who knows, i might just get the last laugh :p

Significantly more powerful computers with fresh Windows installations struggle with BF3 in multi player. I speak from experience here. Unless some software package improves on Microsoft's design? You sound like someone who will buy the software recommended by those "warning - your computer may be infected!!!" pop ups.
