Battlefield 3 through Kalahari

I was wondering, this might sound stupid for some, but I've had it with Battlefield 3 not working. I understand its EA's problem, and not Kalahari, but is there any way that I can get my money back from them not delivering a working product? After all patches and all updates I crash every 10min. I cant play the damn game to save my life here. I am highly upset.
 
you wont get your money back, as its a pc issue, you need sort out it out on your side, it will only crash because of hardware/software on your pc, you will need try some stuff , like new drivers , formatting pc etc.

not saying your pc is problems but bf3 can be a bit choosy on its hardware.
 
Suggestion;

If you really have reached your limit.

Format, reload.
Update windows
Update drivers

Install BF3 and try again.

Not hardware related mate. This problem has been seen worldwide. Even with the latest patch that was released yesterday for the crash fix, it has made some guys who could play fine, now crash.

This game is just so broken. Full of bugs beyond belief.
 
Format reload windows and bf3, load latest drivers (gfx, sound, etc). Check you isp some are useless with bf3 (WA ftw). There was a patch yesterday. Kalahari wont refund you, not their fault.

Check origin forums if you still got problems. I used to get kicked from the game and since i went to WA it does not happen anymore.

I feel your pain! My game crashes just so much, I counted the amount of crashes in the event viewer from Saturday 2pm to Sunday 2pm, 22! Its EA we should be raging against, I don't think I will buy another EA product. The money cannot refund the pain my heart has suffered every time it crashes when you doing well.

First off, no store will accept a returned software/cd disk if it's not faulty, and even then they will replace it with another disk.
Secondly, as mentioned, it's your responsibility to make sure it will work on your pc. If it crashes the whole time, check for updates for your drivers. Are you sure your pc can handle the game? Maybe you have conflicting software. I've seen a lot of issues with BF3 solved by uninstalling certain software pieces.
 
For the first time I see the joy with consoles, there is none of this crappy conflicting issues. You pop the disc in and it works the end.

For pc the game developers dont take enough consideration in to environmental issues. I am just about fed up with BF3, I know that if I buy a new graphics card it will solve my problem but my card is supported and should therefore work without issues. Why should I spend another R2-3k on a new card for one silly game.

IMO EA really sucks.
 
And if you running Vista then be sure to load every single windows update and service pack first before trying BF3 as it won't work at all without.
 
I haven't really had this issue - could it be related to specific hardware/drivers such as Nvidia?
 
OK the CPA state that you may return any item within what it calls a cool off period of 10 days as long as its in original condition but may ask for an unfaulty product or refund within 3 months. I would go all out with this and demand a full refund. I very nearly did exactly that but then AMD release an up-date for my graphic drivers that some-what fixed the issue I still need to reintall the drivers after every shutdown or it crashes. I assume you've spoken with a EA games consultant and up-dated your graphics drivers try everything before going on a full assult.

But if it doesn't work demand your right to a refund full stop.

Oh and Kalahari are responsible as they sold the item to you, do not be pushed around from company to company unless another company can really fix the problem.

MW3 working well on PC? Lol. I clearly missed the patch where they fixed all the issues from the sloppy porting.

On topic: It's most likely not BF3. The reasons why lots of people are having issues, is because lots of people have issues with their machines, and they don't know how to repair/maintain their pcs properly. My pc is barely minimum spec but I make sure I format it once in a while, keep my drivers up to date and do regular malware and virus scans. I've only had one problem that I fixed with a driver update.

Dude many people play the game without issue. There is no way you can get your money back.

BF 3 is not broken, it runs like a dream. I would say it's the best BF release.

MW3 may work but if you want to pay through your ass for a 5 year old engine and graphics that look like they came out of the early 90's then go for it :D but get your pc working because bf 3 is the best online game ever released, game play is amazing, graphics is off the chart beautiful.

The new map pack is out tomorrow and that is going to be pure epic. According to EA they will have new maps for the next 6 months. W00t w00t.

What hardware are you running? What version of windows? Does it have the latest SP? You say many people are having this problem but i think it is only a few people having that issue.

Hear hear... I haven't had a single issue with the game. No crashes in over 48 hours of play.

MW3 on the other hand keeps trying to redownload itself.

I have had slight problems with DC's and what not. But I play on wireless so I blame that. I had a few game freezes on map changes (very few and far apart) *this has been addressed in the latest patch. I have over 150 hours played and I can honestly say the same is solid. I have played games with allot more bugs than BF3 has.

That being said:

I had massive problems with installing the game. This was all due to my fault not keeping my machine updated. Most important of all:

You need SP2 if on Vista and the latest patches for Windows 7
You need either Chrome or IE9 for the browser, FF sucks donkey balls when running Battlelog.

Then look at things like GPU drivers and so on.

Best solution:
Format HDD
Re-install windows
Apply Service packs
Update latest drivers (since you need to redo the drivers might as well get the latest ones)
Install BF3

BE BLOWN AWAY BY IT'S AWESOMENESS :p

You are in for a tough time. BF3 does work and the crashes are most likely due to internet connectivity and your particular configuration. Or possibly the game server host.

This is why I switched to consoles years ago. PC is treated as a second class citizen by the developers and the platform was left to get into this state by Microsoft.
I only buy PC games if they are PC exclusive and made by companies with a good track record for quality, such as games made by Blizzard.

I would suggest as a long term solution that you all get a console as well as a PC and do the same thing I do.
Or alternatively, get a Mac because the specific hardware they use gives developers a stable target to aim for and test their code on.
