Hellloooooooooo. So I decided to get a GTX460 and quad core for Battlefield 3 on PC 
as PS3 version is just too flawed in my opinion. Now is it possible to send my hard drive to a buddy who will copy his entire game data over onto my hard drive so I wont have to update the game?

Yep that will work, you need to purchase it and register it with Origin so it's tied to your EA account. Make sure though that you copy the BF3 folder into the 'Games' folder specified in the Origin settings. Restart Origin and it'll scan your directory and prepare your game.

That's still not acceptable. I know you are only joking but it annoys me no end when I get oneshoted from more than 100m (not sniped), as was said to me the other day, "aww don't hate me cause you suck" and my reply was "yes I know I suck but that doesn't change the fact that you are cheating". I bet there are plenty (and you would be surprised to see that person cheat) that use hax to boost their round, then about half way or when someone calls them a cheater they turn off their aimbots ect. The other side of the coin is lag issues, why is it only some players seem to cause lag when you get near them and will not die when you pump a full magazine into them (this is on SGS HC), then whip round and oneshot you ? Could it all be explained by lag ? Funny because I can kill other players in the round no problem. Btw I have been playing for just more than a month now, I am at rank 35 so I cant be that sh@t a player, it just seems odd. Do I really need a 40+inch display and 10Mb/s adsl connection to be competitive in this game ? You input is valued.

Well i have a 46" and honestly it hasn't help my k/d lol or play.
Sometimes i also think hmmm dodgy but i dunno man don't you shoot people from distance and they drop quickly cause i know i do and headshots you don't hear the bullets you drop. It's hard to pin point hackers if they are not doing it in that kinda hackish way.
I can tell you now, if you burst the m16a3 for instance and aim or the head people drop like mad.

I hear you, but thats my point. The other night I was shooting from say 100+m with G36 (aiming for head, using bursts), getting hitmarkers but no kill, this guy darts round and one burst kills me, WTF ? This is why I asked "can it be all lag", I don't think so. I do understand that the hitboxes are all screwed up but it amazes me what "some" players can do. I think that BF3 has more bugs in it than we can imagine. Anyway I will carry on as I am, hopefully things improve, if not there are plenty of other games to play.

Try guns like m16a3 dude, many of the assault guns are amazing, i have 90 hours of anti tanking and the guns are fail compared to assault.
I think the best one is m4a1 but you gotta try the m16a3 and f2000 if you wanna see hacks

Yeah man it's the game, no real explanation for it. It could be lag, it could be character positioning, it could be luck, or it could be that the player is just that good. I'm no exceptional player but I do have my moments and last night I thought I was was going to get called a hacker. I was running along the wall next to the ocean on Karkand and heard a grenade drop behind me, so I keep running. I figured someone would take look at some point after throwing a grenade, cos I do
. Very faintly I heard something behind me and in an instant I turned around to see bullets heading my way from an enemy +-100m away, without thinking I right clicked and shot maybe 3 bullets and the guy was down. All this in like 1 or 2 seconds. I had like 50% health left and didn't get accused. If I was the other guy I woulda thought something dodgy was up I play on a 23", and a 1mb line shared with another BF3 player. I suggest you play around with your Network Interpolation slider in the Settings menu. By default its set to full, take it down to 50% and see if it helps.
Also there are guys who've put in 100+ hours on the servers. When you've played that long you kinda go through the motions and you do things subconsciously that make you live and the other player die.

Would changing the slider to 50% do anything? I am gonna try it tonight never really known what the heck it is for lol

Yeah I've felt a difference, especially with people running when you're trying to shoot them.
Moving it to the left decreases the graphical smoothness (so you're more likely to see character glitches) but it increases the hitreg. I've set mine to about 50% and don't see many glitches. I've yet to try it with the slider all the way to the left.

I googled "spectator mode for Battlefield" you get a bunch of links... none of which are accessible from the office.

Welcome to the club, there are many of us.
Check your internet connection, use a program that can determine loss, I recommend WinMTR.
Clear the cache of your browser.
Force PunkBSTR A+B's priority to high, you will have to do this with B every time a map loads. Although this only worked for awhile.
I am busy with Evenbalance about the packet loss thing, thing is the kick does not show up in the PB log. I also logged several calls to EA, but in the last 7 weeks they just keep on repeating disable AV and Firewall (which is not the problem).

Also I found that I could play on certain servers, some of WAGE, some of SGS, certain clan servers.
However, check your line. My main problem is that the line between Louis Trichardt and Johannesburg suffers from periodical loss and lag, I have reported it and its better now but I still have problems connecting to certain servers, with the same reasons you have.
