You'll be fine. No need to worry. You can always OC though.

damnit, i was so excited for this game but seeing the PC requirements makes me sad  my old 4870 is never going to make the cut...

I recall your nic from BF2. Was a tough kill if I recall correctly ...

hd 4870 will play it at about 1600x900 res , if you have a decent cpu.

sayign that because guys over at notebook review forums played the alpha at 1600x900 maxed , on there i7 laptops with hd 5870m, which is about the same as hd 4870

Anyone have a guess what adsl speed you will need for a 64 player map?

Less the map size and more the amount of players connected.

When I used to play BF2 on ISDN, I could play on 64k with about 16 players with about 150 ping. I would have to connect at 128k for about 32 players to keep my ping stable on the same map.

In BF2 most maps were limited to 48 players so that 384 ADSL users could play without lag. I am not sure if the amount of data in BF3 has increase compared to BF2, but I should think its safe to say it has.

I have been playing bfbc2 on 384 line without any problems on my unshaped account.although I have recently upgraded- my main worry is my rigs hardware specs- although not a real worry as I have been looking for a reason to upgrade for a while now :)
