Battlefield 3

I won't be able to play the beta so let me know how it runs on 384 line.
 
384 doesn't count as an internet connection. Everyone should be upgrading to 1MB/s anyway.
 
I think 384k will be enough for 32 players. I can't see how the data requirement for BF3 will be higher than BF2 or BC2, they are suppose to streamline it.
 
Just don't expect to do anything else on 384 while playing.

Missed 1942, wish I didn't. I looked for it a few months ago but didn't find it. Will probably run on an iPhone 4 now?!

Hmm think I will look into the 1mb then and I agree it is quite a pain when my sister gets on facebook... no more gaming then :D

Not sure where the disks are but steam will have it for like 70 bucks more than likely, best battlefield game i reckon :D. Was also a damn fine looking game for it's time.
 
I will download a copy and people can collect a few copies in the Edenvale area

I'll download it and any one in Durban/KZN is welcome to come get it from me! On the EA forums I've seen the Beta is rumoured to be a [-]~6GB[/-] 2-3GB download.

I haven't pre-ordered BF3 yet, will I still have early beta access though?
As long as you pre-order by September 25, 2011 you will early access to Battlefield 3's beta.

Not sure how us sharing the Beta will work. It seems you have to download it through Origin =/

Man I hope there is a way to manually get it. I live with someone who also play Battlefield and it will be pointless if we both have to download ~3GB each.

It is open but if you pre order you get early access, so two days longer than the guys who go with the open beta. Pre orders get access 27th, open beta starts on the 29th i think.
 
Okay so I asked the BF3 community on reddit and they seem to think you can copy the beta files from Origin and give it to another user who has Origin installed. Apparently a lot of people did this for the Alpha and it worked.

So it looks like we will be able to share it!

Kewl, I just thought that you had to pre-order, even if you wanted to use the "Open" beta. :)
