Battlefield 3

so i should not have to much hassle then with a
I5 760 4.0Gig 12gigs of ddr 3 1600mhz ram with a geforce 470gtx 1.2gig?

O noes :( bfbc2 also felt sluggish while rocking 100 FPS :(. Now i are liking to be seriously worried :eek:

I haven't fiddled with much of the stuff and just did a general switch from MEDIUM to HIGH but I am sure you can get it to work pretty nicely.

when I started, it was already on HIGH via AUTO except as I said, stuff like AA and such was still off.

nah dooby, it may just be me.

I am using a trackball after all :D

cool thanks boet still waiting for my key but i am busy with the torrent that was put up on the mygaming site i am almost 50% of the way done hope i get my key tonight i was told by a support person at ea games that the keys where sent out during US time lunch time...not sure what truth is behind that
 
hehe i used one of those keys that where posted up on the forums this afternoon i think i put it in wrong cause i got battlefield 2142 expansion now on my list of games :D
 
how are you guys testing your framerates?

and does anyone know how to see your ping? I played a bit on the SGS server but a couple of times it felt laggy as hell.
 
Yea I really wish we could see ping. Last night there was a ton of lag going around but I think it's caused by the internationals. I was getting about 90 frames last night running on a mix of High and Ultra and a few on Medium - haven't edited the settings yet and am playing on what the game thinks my system can handle. Going to do some tinkering tonight! I hope Caspian Border comes out! 1 map over and over and over again will drive me insane.

How can I change my soldier name? I'm stuck with my Origin name atm and would really like to change it. Hopefully it's just a beta thing!
 
I'm still downloading, power failure overnight FTL, logged into battlelog, looks ok - also want to change my player name.

I have the worst origin name, did some searching and its basically impossible to change... but add me anyway RyRyDawg :wtf:

I was quite impressed with Battlelog! Stats galore. I want to drop the _ZA from my name... I don't particularly want to use my Origin name.

Yeah I'm on my phone, :)

I have an i5-760 @ 4.0ghz and 6870 X-fire, so I'm sure I will be fine on ultra
