ill have to find some1 in kzn and make a plan. See i thought the maps were already installed, and on expansion release a patch would come out with all the updates to the maps. i can afford max 700mb for an update but 4 g's is insane + its international bandwidth

I am in Kloof will start the download later today when I get home, if someone lets me know how to copy it for you we can make a plan. Let me know but it won't be till Thursday as only have a 384 line.

ive got a friend who has 4mb uncapped . will let you know if he will download or not. he has bf3 but doesnt play it >.<

I don't think you can copy the update to another computer as it gets handled within Origin. If you can, let me know! My housemate plays BF3 too and its wasteful to download almost 8GB.

The patch is hosted locally (i think) and the download speeds for the previous patch was insanely fast.

You can.

You copy it from the origin file and put it in the Origin file of the other PC. Origin then loads it from there as an Update when Origin is connected live.

don't think i'll be on tonight as i see the update is 3.9GB for those with limited edition as it already as the exspanion pack with the update ready for the 14th.

In your origin folder there will be a BF3 folder.
In the BF3 folder there is an Updates folder. Pop it in there.
