Battlefield 3

Recon launches SOFLAM, SOFLAM paints targets. This allows you to use Javelin on both air/ground targets.

You need a sniper running by your side to paint targets, the javelin absolutely rapes choppers. Armour it hurts them rather badly as well but choppers have no answer.

Indeed. It's too bad most people don't use it most of the time :/
 
So whats your favourite LMG people?

I use to have a quite a liking for the M249, but recently the sheer power of the M240B has began to win me over :D

I prefer using it with the iron sights, extended mag and bipod.

Your favourites?

Also, when playing TDM M870CS with Tac light = EPIC! :D
 
Seeking: One squad mate with decent helicopter flying and gunning skills. Must also have microphone. Would need most of the engineer unlocks or soflam so that when clans stack and are obviously on voice, we have a chance in hell in actually shooting them down when they have a chopper.

I played a game on Operation Firestorm with 3 of us in a tank. Driver and gunner both with Javelins. When the chopper came by, 3rd seat would paint it and both driver and gunner nail it with Javelins. It worked really well. There were also 2 guys to repair in tank battles, which makes a big difference.
 
I'm really loving the 24/7 ZA Metro server. It's all I've been playing for the last few days, especially since I unlocked the Jackhammer (MK3A1). I love running around a corner and shotgunning a bunch of people in the face. :D

Easier method, is get the guy driving the armour to use the guided shells, paint the chopper and say bye bye chopper. We have even down a jet using guided shells. Nothing rapes harder than guided shells, gunner and painter.

24/7 metro is bloody epic. It would be nice to see it at 40 players though.

I hadn't thought about guided shells. Will have to give that a go.

I agree about the metro server. A few more players on each side will increase the mayhem.

T88LMG hands down,decent accuracy and rate of fire and very damaging bullets.perfect for close to medium range gunfights.
 
Is the tact light that nooblight that blinds people?

That is not epic, it's silly that people need to blind people to kill em :p
 
It's only useful when in a group.everytime someone shines that thing in my face i just fire at the brightest part.
 
ya cant wait for my usas 12 its like having a tank canon in your hands , DAMN THING IS SO LOUD!

till then i will just noobtube people going on my 3rd service star with it :P

Agreed. I purposefully don't use it because it's just a cheap way for getting kills.

It's actually full auto. I generally don't use 12g frag rounds. Only time I do is when my team is losing badly. Then I feel it's an attempt to even the sides somewhat. At least, that's how I justify it in my head. :o
 
Been loving the M16A3 lately! Such a stable gun and it packs a punch!

Loving B2K. Sharqi is as good as I remember and Karkand is HUGE but doesn't feel like it, which is great. Haven't played the vanilla maps since B2K came out... really enjoying it.

M16a3 is the business and the iron sight is awesome. I reckon only the m416 can rival it.
 
What are all your feelings on the new guns unlocked in the assignments?

I've played a fair bit with the Jackhammer (I love my shotty :love: ), but not so much with the others. Which are worth giving a whirl?
