OK! Got it working! Basically Windows 7 32bit limits programs to use a maximum of 2000mb. Battlefield 3 was using more than that, and as such, was crashing when it hit the 2000mb limit. Increased the limit to 2500mb and no more crashing at all.

Specs fyi: Phenom II x4 945, GTX 460 Hawk 1gig, 3 gig DDR2, 500gig HDD.

what are we talking about here, memory or hdd space? (yeah weird question but gots to ask)

Memory, not HDD space. Seems that way. After changing it, no more crashes.

EDIT: Possibility is that it's "ALL" programs that use more than 2000mb with BF3 combined. Makes more sense. That's obviously the case.

that could be more possible seeing as my BF only sits in the less than 1Gig and that is even after quite a few rounds.

so would say maybe try upgrade ram to more, even getting some of the Valueram should work fine.

:D I know the guy you mean from from mad max. At first I thought you were talking about "Master Blaster".

Trick is to avoid those 24/7 Metro servers - they're a point harvesting load of bullshyte if you ask me.

I'm a tOOb ho I admit but I don't play on those servers. I enjoy a round of metro when it comes around but I get my tOOb thrills on the other maps - ones where the okes can't accuse me of spamming. Didn't stop them on Saturday night though. I got tuned big time and the bottom line is that those servers just give legitimate tOObers a bad name.

The issue with the tube on metro is not that people use the tube flanders it's how they use the tube but having said that you should come play it cause the tubers are not that bad anymore.

Jump down with usas poon 7 okes standing in the same spot tubing. It's actually awesome now. After a while those okes standing in the corner spamming tubes get tired of dying :D

Also another issue is the mweb 300% which is about the only decent server keeps crashing and the sgs normal servers are so laggy. Not sure why the mweb server keeps crashing but it is bloody annoying.

I'm looking for someone in the Pretoria area who has the BF3 installation discs.
My first disc is scratched and now I can't re-install the game :( I'm missing BF3 so much I want to cry. I don't want to borrow your discs I'll bring my tower to your place and we can just do the install there.

If anyone can help please PM me :p
 
Hey man, not the Pretoria area but you're welcome to come to my place in Linden? I have the disks on .iso format too...

Killa, I'm practically a shottie virgin in BF3. :o Need to check that sheeit out though but you know how it goes; you get in your groove and suddenly people put you "in a box". :p Have you tried the M26 MASS shottie? That's the other config you can run as medic/assault instead of medpack/tOOb. Been meaning to try it too but never do.

Flanders boet you must cum jam metro, trust me it is the most addictive thing i have ever played. It's like a drug. The tubers and so on are pretty easy to cope with now as most people know where they sit so it is not easy to spam, rocketers are a thing of the past it seems. So someone who can use a tube without spamming and use it in way that helps the team would be awesome but remember once you go metro 24/7 it is hard to play anything else.

What??? They are just as bad as they've always been. In fact, Raider (one of your clan mates I believe) was getting MVP by standing in the same spot tubing the entire round. I'm one of the people who tries to push up to cap B (from US side), but it's nearly impossible with the entire RU side tubing the stairs/escalators constantly. Still, that's not as annoying as the entire US side not pushing up and just tubing from the bottom.

In general, I try to avoid the high player Metro maps. I prefer joining games with 32 or so players. There's less tubing on those games.
 
I honestly don't understand why people play the Metro24x7 maps. You spawn, run to middle area and spam. What the hell is the point? Do the same thing over and over, until the tickets run out 20-30 minutes later...

Maybe it's coz I don't play for points but for fun.

Rubbish, there is nothing more exhilarating than getting up and capping A or B and winning the round.

The tubers are easy to sort out. If you defending B from the top go to the front stairs and get your angles right and you will kill them all. You can also lock and load the usas and jump down killing plenty.

I only play metro for the fun, couldn't care less about the points. I run up and die over and over trying to get through. You just have to know where the spammers spam and kill them. I got like 90 kills just nailing spammers the other day, it got to a point where i jumped down and there was nothing to usas haha.
